“Fantastic stay in the new wing”

Very good room in the new wing, spacious, v well equipped inc aircon, stylish. Huge bed. And no problem having the maid service while you’re there, some pubs cut it! Ooen 365 days a year. Parking on site. Highly recommended.

We've just had a fabulous 2 night stay and we were in the brand new lodge at the bottom of the garden. The room was so comfortable, new and clean. We've just had a fabulous 2 night stay and we were in the brand new lodge at the bottom of the garden. The room was so comfortable, new and clean. Thoughtfully and tastefully designed with a gorgeous bathroom and attention paid to every detail. A lovely breakfast is served in the pub with tables inside and on the outside terrace. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Easy and free parking and a large pub garden with lots of tables. This is actually our 3rd stay at the hotel but the first in the new lodge. Looking forward to staying again soon.

We came the night before flying out of airport . Service was ok - waiters not readily available : food was lovely - average portions we’d say - the salt n pepper loaded fries were incredibly spicy and we like spice ! Fish was wonderful - delicious batter . The starters were superb - best halloumi fries tasted - looked unusual but the proof was in the taste ! We were overcharged on the bill - luckily I’d checked it ! It’s a good pub . Good food .

“Excellent new accomodation, popular location”

We stayed at the Bulls Head in mid June, in the newly opened accommodation called the Dunham Lodge We first booked the accommodation on 20th May. I checked on 4th June and the price had dropped so I contacted the Bulls Head and cancelled and re-booked the accommodation at the lower price. I checked again a week later, and the price had dropped again, so I contacted the Bulls Head and cancelled and re-booked the accommodation at the lower price, this time with an additional discount, making the saving from the first to last booking of £100 for a 2-night stay. Rachel at the Bulls Head was very helpful. The accommodation in the new lodge is as you would expect, first class. Rooms are tastefully decorated and well equipped; tea and coffee making facilities (with fresh milk in the fridge) excellent. The hangers don’t have to be wrestled from the rail to be used. There are USB charging sockets on the plug sockets. The television picture is excellent. The room is air conditioned and has useful instructions on how to operate the A/C. The shower is well thought out with what look like a tiled wall but are shower wall panels so there should be no black mould in the future. The restaurant is excellent; there is a good of choice of meals from light snacks to 3 course meals. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and again, a good choice from light to full English. The Bulls Head is a lively and popular pub and is well supported by the local community. The only negatives that I had was that the drinking cups which were used on the first morning weren’t cleaned or replaced for the second morning. Fresh towels were supplied for the second day which we hadn’t expected and felt it was unnecessary. There were no instructions regarding leaving towels on the floor if we wanted them changing which is the norm these days. I did contact the company very soon after our stay with my comments before posting any reviews, in case I had mis-understood how they operate. They said they would respond after investigating my comments, but 1 month later I have not had a reply. What should have been an excellent two-night stay was marred by not getting the fundamentals right. Had room services been on the ball it would have been a 5 star review
