We stayed for 2 nights (2 adults and 2 children) Arrived late afternoon and checked in straight away. Room was a really nice size - lots of space compared to other family hotel rooms we’ve been in before. We used the pool the following day, the children enjoyed it. We had dinner one evening, the staff were attentive and the food was good. All in all a good hotel, some areas for improvement (things like soft furnishings) but for the price and location it’s what we needed so it worked for us.

“Disappointing”

Not the hotel standard it used to be. I was asked for a £1 deposit but no explanation what this was for (I should have asked). Not the hotel standard it used to be. I was asked for a £1 deposit but no explanation what this was for (I should have asked). Although our family room was a good size, the bathroom was damp and mouldy, a haven for silverfish which made their way into the living/bed area. The bathroom drains were very smelly and made it unpleasant to use. For some reason you cannot flush the toilet in the night but will work again in the morning. We stayed for 3 nights. Clean on arrival, but next day clean consisted of one fresh towel and one fresh shower mat. Beds were not made up and bathroom was not cleaned. Dirty coffee cups etc were not removed and replaced. I spoke with evening management who were very apologetic and resolved the dirty crockery and refresh. Management ensured our room was cleaned properly the next day, however, full attention was not given to the bathroom which still was not the standard I would expect and still spelled terrible. In all the hotel is looking tired in areas. No aircon. Poor Wifi.

PROS: Swimming pool. CONS: Credit card deposit required despite corporate booking. REVIEW:  Stayed Aug-2025 for 3 nights in standard room with breakfast. A business trip so our employer booked multiple rooms and pre-paid for them.  On check-in I was requested to pay a £1 (one pound) deposit but they would not accept cash. They wanted a credit card. My business colleague let me use her business credit card.  Shower was in the bath tub with a flexi-hose attached to the bath-taps. Had a hot towel rail (in summer).  Room was hot and no aircon, however a fan and a dyson-machine-thing was supplied.  Safety deposit box, working TV and wi-fi in room.  Had a good swim in their pool on a couple of nights. NEGATIVES  Credit card deposit required, would not accept cash.  It was summer in August, however on the first morning there were a lot of flies on the shelf above the uncovered fresh fruit at breakfast. Staff did remove the fruit and came back later with (I hope) new fruit.  Coffee, tea and drinking chocolate provided in room but only on the first day. No drinking water supplied, no fridge in room. The kettle had a lot of limescale in it, all my colleagues mentioned theirs was the same also.  I guess I’m used to staying in hotels in Asia which I find nicer.
