Gorgeous boujee hotel, there was a few niggles which I will detail below but nothing that would stop me from visiting again, 2 mins walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station and 8 mins walk to the centre of the shopping, check in was smooth, a rather tad too smooth to be honest as there was very little personal interaction which would of been nice, I had to prompt the lady to ask for breakfast times and if I could reserve a table in the restaurant, that said check in was fast which suits most people, room was gorgeous, the giant selfie light was a big hit with the teenager, a couple of little niggles in the room ie chip in sink, shower temperature was unpredictable and went through three different temperature extremes whilst I showered, but those aside the room was very good value for money, evening meal was rather bazaar, as although I had booked a table we were made to feel rather unwelcome, we were seated swiftly but the reception was cold, we were just given an alacarte menu, a few minutes later I spoke to the waiter and said I had seen a 2 course set menu and he said “oh you want to order from that” week yes please or rather just been given all the options, food was pleasant and presented well, the chips were the saltiest chips I have ever tasted, I appreciate that’s personal preference. I also noticed on the way out of the restaurant that it was also steak night, again it would have been nice to have been told of this. On the whole the hotel is fab, super central and well worth the money, if visiting again I will for sure have breakfast there but opt for somewhere else for the evening meal

We got checked in here very last minute as we had originally booked in at the new deansgate hotel but faced some issues on arrival so were moved to this hotel. We are really grateful that we were welcomed here as it was very last minute but in all honesty we were a little disappointed when we arrived after we’d seen how fantastic the new hotel was. Of course a newer version of something is going to be sparkling clean with new decor and a buzzy vibe but there was a huge difference between the two hotels. The entrance, reception and general downstairs area looked and felt quite un clean but we appreciate it was a bank holiday weekend and they do welcome the general public to the bar as well as hotel guests so it will be hard to keep on top of cleanliness and overall upkeep, it just wasn’t what we were expecting after seeing the new one. We came to the bar for a drink before getting ready for our evening, it was quite busy so it was counter service at first but when the football had finished and it had quietened down a lovely lady came and chatted to us and took our order for a 2nd round of drinks - she may have been a manager we weren’t sure but she was lovely and even guessed our drinks correctly later on in the night when we came back for a drink before bed. She was definitely the member of staff that stood out the most and probably the only one that made any effort with the customers/guests, as well as cleaning the entire table area herself whilst the other staff just lingered behind the bar… so thank you, a real credit to the hotel! Ps. The tomato hummus and flat bread from the bar was genuinely some of the best hummus we’d ever had, I’m even craving it now it was so good and my pornstar martini was spot on, really delicious! The lift was really simple to use and took us straight to our floor, the corridor was boiling which we heard a few people talking about but it wasn’t really an issue to us as it’s just a corridor. We didn’t really know what to expect with the bedrooms after our first impression of the downstairs area but the room was absolutely fine, it was really spacious which is great, enough storage and the bathroom was big. To look at the room seemed clean but when you got closer I’d say it was 75% clean and a few areas missed off, surface clean but not deep clean. Of course if this was a very quick room turn around to squeeze us in last minute I can appreciate a few issues, but I’m not sure. The place could’ve just done with a touch up and a proper spring clean. The shower was one of the best hotel showers we’ve used, it ran perfectly and didn’t have any issues with temperature. Myself and my partner slept really well on our side of the hotel but my parents had a really disturbed sleep from other guests and outside noise - not the hotels fault and the bed itself was still comfortable. We all really appreciated the homely touches like the iron, coffee & tea supplies, hair dryer and a big tv etc. The room decor and vibe was very cool, a bit dim and gloomy with a splash of colour so quite quirky. It was a decent stay for a very last minute booking but overall the hotel just needs some TLC. Thank you so much for squeezing us in when you did 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

“Hotel room good bar staff could be better”

Hotel room good, as a British army veteran with difficulty in hearing due to excessive firearms exposure i found one member of bar staff Fairly rude and abrasive due to me not being able to understand her first time, could have been more understanding at the time .

Nothing amazing but when are they ever really unless you pay mega money? The issue I had was the beer. Ordered a draught beer, forgot which, wasn’t Heineken. Came flat. Not a single bubble. Asked for a different one. Came flat. Not a single bubble. Drank it anyway as the guy at the restaurant who was seating people looked way out of his depth. Next I ordered a Chang and they’re bottled. Poured into a fresh glass. Flat. Any bartender would know there’s an issue with glass cleanliness. Anyway. Food was good. Cheesecake I really liked. Not somewhere I’d go out of my way to book again. I’d probably prefer a premier inn instead if I’m being totally honest.
