I want to say a massive thank you to Shaun, Victoria and the whole team at the Sweeney Hotel for making my daughters wedding day so special, the location is fantastic, everything was arranged exactly as we wanted and the food was excellent. Despite operating in very hot conditions the service and support was excellent. Thank you also to the Housekeeping team in the Hotel who were very friendly and helpful. A great experience all round - thank you.

“Lack of service big let down”

Booked an afternoon tea with friends. Was random!! Our friend was already seated when more of us arrived. So we went through to be seated. No one came and said hello or welcome. Booked an afternoon tea with friends. Was random!! Our friend was already seated when more of us arrived. So we went through to be seated. No one came and said hello or welcome. Our afternoon tea stack arrived 10 minutes later. Just put on the the table, followed by cheese scones and wedges. It was all fresh and well presented. 10 minutes later we asked if we could have some tea! Oh yes we will bring some over. 30 mins in we asked for some water. Each time flagging a waiter down. When we had finished we asked for a take home box just for some cakes we couldn’t manage. We then left the table and ordered some drinks at the bar and went and sat outside. It’s a gorgeous venue, and the food was lovely. But not one person actually spoke to us! We should have just left and not paid and see what happened. But obvs we didn’t! We paid at the bar and left. No did you enjoy your time, how was your afternoon tea not thank you nothing! It was really quite weird! Wouldn’t return in a rush. But the food was fresh, scones plain and very small. Feel like a bit of an afternoon special if o er he what’s! And though it was good, the lack of any sort of ar cure was a no for me! Part of the pleasure of this treat is the service.
