I regularly use the Lea Marston Hotel for senior leadership programmes, most recently at the beginning of July. From walking through the front door and being met by the excellent Reception Team to liaising with the amazing conference support, I always feel confident that despite any last minute curve balls that my programmes will run professionally and smoothly. The events team over the last 18 months have all been excellent and I most recently worked with Carla Owen who, like the whole team went the extra mile to make our event a success.

“Great for Business Meetings”

We've used Lea Marston conference centre for several business meetings. Carla (from a bookings perspective) and Jacek are always friendly and accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The food and drinks always go down very well too!

I booked for a business visit for our corporate directors - hotel rooms (B&B) and an evening meal for our extended management team. The rooms were upgraded FOC and the meals (prebooked) were of the highest quality and presentation. My contact for this whole event was Lana - she was amazing, giving the best customer service i could have asked for and making the event one to remember (which also looks great on me!)

“Mixed Experience: Great Spa, but Disappointing Dining, Pool, and Golf”

​We recently stayed at Lea Marston for a weekend to celebrate a friend’s birthday while our husbands played golf. While there were several highlights, a few key areas fell short, meaning we likely won't return for our next spa and golf trip. Overall, we'd rate our stay a 3 out of 5. ​Our bedroom was spacious, and the bathroom was lovely, clean, and well-equipped. However, the bed was very hard and left me with a sore back, and the pillows were lumpy and desperately need updating. On the general facilities, the public toilets are in need of a major update, they felt dark, dingy, and the toilet paper dispensers were frustrating to use. ​The highlight of our stay was definitely the spa treatments, my friend and I both had a wonderfully relaxing experience with great therapists. However, the pool area was disappointing. There were missing tiles on the pool floor that felt rough underfoot, and a real shortage of loungers. Once the few chairs were taken, there was nowhere to sit after using the sauna or steam room. Additionally, there were lots of children in the pool jumping, diving, and throwing toys on both Saturday and Sunday, making it difficult to relax (I was nearly hit in the head at one point). ​Dinner was included as part of our package, but the atmosphere felt more like a cheap chain pub than a hotel restaurant. The team was friendly, our initial waiter kindly moved us out of the conservatory because it was overheated, and the two girls closing up at the end of the night were very professional and pleasant. However, service was extremely slow. We arrived for our 7:45 PM booking and didn't receive our mains until 9:30 PM, forcing us to rush through dessert before the bar closed. On a positive note, breakfast the next morning was great. We were down first, and everything was clean, fresh, and well-stocked with a nice variety of food. ​Our husbands were not particularly impressed with the golf course. They noted that the turf had a lot of unkept divots and there were swarms of flies around the water features due to heavy algae in the ponds. ​It was an okay stay overall with friendly staff and good spa treatments, but it was let down by poor sleep quality, slow dinner service, an unmanaged pool relaxation space, and a lacking golf course.
