The experience of staying in Belfast began with a warm welcome from the host, who went above and beyond by collecting me directly from the airport. This thoughtful gesture not only made my arrival stress-free but also provided an opportunity to learn about the area as we drove into central Belfast, where I was attending a conference. The host’s friendliness and local knowledge set the tone for an impressive stay. The accommodation itself was impeccable, offering an environment that was spotlessly clean. Careful attention had been given to every detail, including extra touches that made the stay particularly comfortable. Tea and coffee were generously provided, ensuring a cozy start to each day or a relaxing evening after the conference. Practical amenities such as a hair dryer and soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower added convenience and catered to all basic needs. The bed proved to be exceptionally comfortable, allowing for restful nights throughout the stay. Despite being in a central location, the property was remarkably quiet. I neither heard noise from guests in other rooms nor from the outside, creating a serene environment perfect for relaxation or preparing for the next conference session. Overall, my stay was one of exceptional comfort and hospitality. Cheap and cheerful! Situated just off the Falls Road, and only a short cab ride into the city centre. Kevin was very welcoming. My bedroom was spotlessly clean with fresh bedding, and the en-suite bathroom was also very clean with freshly-laundered white towels. Yes, the rooms are small and it's not The Ritz - but this is reflected in the room price. I had to telephone Kevin twice with minor queries, and both times he answered his phone promptly and did not make me feel like I was pestering him. I'm unsure how these other reviewers were unable to sleep due to noise. The property is situated near a main hospital, so I heard the occasional ambulance siren when awake, but this wasn't loud enough to disturb my sleep.

A convenient location to catch buses into the city centre. Made to feel welcome on arrival, by the owner, Kevin. He was very knowledgeable on the history of Belfast, and said he'd lived at the property for 60 years. They don't offer breakfast, even though there's a photo of people sitting down for breakfast on the website. This needs to be updated. The room I had was a very small, ensuite. The furnishings made it feel cramped. The middle light had a bare lightbulb, with the light fitting not fixed to the ceiling. No lampshade. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had nice hot water. It was OK, as long you didn't spend too much time in the room. A nice touch, with tea and coffee making facilities, and a TV. No soap or shampoo provided, though. The containers were empty. Why provide these, if they aren't replenished? It was value for money, though, but I'm not sure I'd return.
