Have been twice now to the Habourview. In for dinner in the restaurant, easily booked, staff happy to see you and service is quick without feeling rushed. Food was gorgeous and well portioned. Stayed for a drink afterwards sitting at the bar, staff happy to have conversation and give good knowledge on their extensive whiskey collection. The second time was for Afternoon tea on Mother's Day. A beautiful selection that was well presented, tea topped up and they came around after for any extras. A lovely harpist was playing in the corner. Staff are always ready and happy to help if you need it. Couldn't want for anything. Will definitely be back.

Old style hotel. Walked in and it was a lovely atmosphere. Staff on front dest were very friendly and welcoming. Got key to my room fast and without any issues. Lovely view from the Londonderry suite. Very nice comfortable room and bed. Bathroom was modern and shower was nice. Evening meal was fantastic. Fish chowder was exceptional. Breakfast was class. Nice choice and plenty on the plate. Staff again very nice and friendly. Overall a really nice place and very relaxing. Much needed break.

We stayed in the Garron Suite on Saturday night and overall had a very mixed experience. Unfortunately, the Garron Suite was one of the smallest suites I have ever stayed in and did not feel worthy of being described as a suite. Seating was limited to one Queen Anne chair and another padded dining-style chair, which was disappointing for a premium room category. There were also no sockets near a mirror or dressing table, making it inconvenient for doing hair and makeup. That said, the bathroom was beautifully presented, and there were some lovely touches throughout our stay. After dinner, we returned to the room to find two miniature bottles of whiskey with glasses, water, and a pipette prepared for us, which was a very thoughtful addition. My sister-in-law stayed in Room 128, which was a standard room at the rear of the hotel, yet it was noticeably larger and included two comfortable chairs. While our suite did have a lovely view, the room itself simply did not meet expectations for a suite experience. The whiskey flight experience was absolutely fabulous and was the highlight of our stay. Everything was beautifully presented and aesthetically impressive, and the staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate. My only disappointment was that I had hoped to try the Cornlock flight, but several of the whiskeys were unavailable that day. We also dined in the restaurant. The food was enjoyable overall, although some dishes did not feel in keeping with the standards expected of a four-star hotel. My husband and sister-in-law ordered the prawn cocktail, which consisted mainly of lettuce and prawns with only a lemon garnish — no wheaten bread or additional accompaniments. My brother-in-law and I had the crispy chicken starter, which included just three small pieces of chicken. For my main course, I chose the tagliatelle carbonara with garlic bread; however, the garlic bread was simply a slice of pan bread. Later in the evening, we retired to the lounge for a nightcap. Service was friendly and pleasant, but there were no floor staff available, meaning we had to go to the bar ourselves to request drinks for the table. The drinks were then brought down promptly, but dedicated lounge service would have improved the experience. Breakfast the following morning had both positives and negatives. The Bircher muesli was delicious. However, when I requested an espresso coffee, I was told the machine had not been turned on, and when I asked for an omelette, I was informed it was unavailable. On a positive note, my husband requested poached eggs and these were kindly accommodated. Overall, this was a stay with both high points and disappointments. The whiskey flight experience is genuinely outstanding and highly recommended, but we were very disappointed with the Garden Suite itself, which fell far below expectations.
