My partner and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and had a lovely time. There are so many convenient amenities from the moment you walk in the door, one we made use of was the baggage storage, as we arrived before check-in. This allowed us to drop our bags and explore the old town of Edinburgh while we waited for our room to be ready. When we checked in, the staff kindly gave us a free upgrade and were extremely helpful and polite. The room we stayed in was spotless and had everything we needed. Overall it was a lovely stay, and we will definitely be back.

It's on the Royal Mile, but not the busy part. Makes it much quieter and also means your taxi/Uber/Bolt can pull up to the front door. We actually caught public transport to the hotel, and it was a tough walk with luggage from the station. Not too far, but bags over uneven pavement and/or cobblestones is a struggle. Front desk were very kind to this Accor Gold member. Early check-in, as room was available; room upgrade; and welcome drink vouchers. A free dram of whiskey to celebrate! Being more like an apartment, it is very well-fitted. Microwave; cooktop; dishwasher; coffee machine and kettle. Separate space for bedroom, living/dining, kitchen. No bathroom amenities, other than liquid soap. They are available for purchase at the front desk. Plenty of space in the room for just my daughter and myself. The sofa pulls out as a bed, big enough for two people. Laundry room downstairs, which will be upgraded to card payment facility. Large lobby area has tables and sitting area for games. I liked this hotel, and made me love Edinburgh more.

location is ideal. what is not within walking distance is only a bus ride away.busses run past the hotel every few minutes. the reception will advise on which bus to catch ffor any destination. the room itself was clean and comfortable. we had twin beds(comforable) in an accessable room. as for it being an apartment. its hardly that. the room was like any other hotel except it had the extra feature of a kitchenette. consists of a 2 ring hob a microwave/gril/oven. and a sink. kettle, no toaster. a. they still supplied free tea, coffee and milk and you can ask for more at the receeption. its a it would have benefit from a sofa to sit on, but its a small room so doubt it would fit in.keycard system for the doors and to activate the lift there i minimal space to use as a dressing table for all cosmetics and hair products. each bed had a small table bedside it. so mine got every cluttered. light switch and socket next to each bed that was great. took us days to work out the air con. and it didnt seem to blow heat out, only cold. we found the instructions hidden in the wardrobe as we packed to leave. there is a safe to store valuables. and plenty of hangers which was great. shelves in wardrobe and a extra cupboard with shelves only. we had the option for daily clean and tidy, we opted out and made our own beds. a large tv in the corner which can be inked to your devise. the room was quiet occassional voice from the corridor and stomping above. we had a room looking out over a square patio from above we were on 3rd floor. so we could only see other room windows at eye level. no traffic noise. plenty of places to sit in the reception area. this was often full with departures and arrivals. the staff in the recption are friendly and very helpful and are a credit to the manager. also must mention the staff at breakfast. one young lady seemed sad to see us leave. she was so attentive as were they all. nothing was too much trouble. its a pity that there is no resturant offering evening meals. we ventured into the royal mile went to ottos spuds a few doors uphill. lovely jacket potato with choice of filling. served in a paper bowl. and we ate in using wooden cutlery. so you could take away to eat in your room. he served no hot drinks, we drank pop instead. try the pub across the road to the hotel it was a nice meal but expensive. worth every penny we enjoyed our viait to edinburgh we saw many sights. we did the royal yacht britannia, the palace of holyrood house. and the parliment building. all well worth seeing. used bus or tram to get to each. scotish people were so kind and helpful to us. they were so willing to help us with information how to get places and how to use the transport system. A VERY SUCESSFUL HOLIDAY. thankyou bonny scotland!
