A well situated hotel for the town centre with plenty of parking. Check in was slick and the room was spacious and well laid out. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and shower were modern and clean. Breakfast is reserved in 15 minute slots which at first seems peculiar but is later explained as each order is freshly cooked in full view of an open kitchen. The menu is varied and a full Scottish breakfast was enjoyed in view of the loch. A good value stay, well recommended.

Upgraded rooms available when the hotel is quiet (at a great price). Some furnishings are rather tired and lack basics ie decent coat hangers (clothes slipped off the new plastic ones), no mirror near an electrical socket for hair drying etc but on the whole the room was lovely. Upgraded rooms available when the hotel is quiet (at a great price). Some furnishings are rather tired and lack basics ie decent coat hangers (clothes slipped off the new plastic ones), no mirror near an electrical socket for hair drying etc but on the whole the room was lovely. Very good service and staff were extremely friendly. Restaurant attached is good altho rather pricey (£12 for a small bowl of soup) main courses were very tasty. Breakfast could be improved but on the whole good. The cold selection lacked cheese and meats etc and was quite basic, the hot meal was well cooked and tasty (although lacked baked beans and haggis 🥴) Great location (central) and adequate parking. Easy to find. Garden area certainly needs attention and tidying/improving. Overall a good experience for a late autumn stay.

Room well furnished with plenty of space, comfortable beds. Strange housekeeping do not refill all the soap, shampoo etc. bottles prior to new guests arrival. 1/2 a bottle of hand wash, a 1/3 of Shampoo- poor presentation looking like leftovers from the last guests. However if you are in 10-12 you can hear everything going on in the restaurant area clear as a bell, with conversations clearly audible. People may as well be sat in your room conversing, or in this case being accosted by staff for taking some cutlery from restaurant- simple situation, poorly handled by staff, leading to embarrassed guests. Door into the corridor to these rooms also needs sound dampening work- every time it opens or closes it makes a disturbing bang. Grateful I wasn't travelling with my young children, as this would have caused a painful disturbed night. Simple maintenance short falls like privacy film on bathroom windows, which look directly onto toilet and shower, peeling away in 2 places leaving clear glass, would understandably make many guests feel uncomfortable using facilities. Basic oversight of not re stocking the tea station in room with new bags when cleaning, lead you to tip toeing around the hotel at 6am trying to find some. Sadly no staff around to assist, which is understandable given the small size of guest house, but perhaps take a note from lesser venues like premier inn and leave a stock of tea/coffee/milk/biscuits guests can help themselves to at reception to negate this issue. Breakfast service good- the young man serving is very polite and on the ball and a credit to an otherwise forgettable hotel. Limited menu but good food and prompt service. Everything here to make a success, sadly just consistent missing of the mark across the board. Confident you'll find much better venues in the town. Wouldn't revisit.
