What a lovely boutique b and b. Great location and our room was perfect. We stayed in the Blue room, a lovely spacious suit with a gorgeous bathroom with great double shower and free standing bath. Our room looked out onto beautiful gardens and only a short walk to the centre of Glasgow. Breakfast was perfect and delivered to our room by our host Lorraine. Beautiful period property and definitely worth a 5 star review. The chocolates and shortbread were also a nice touch. Nothing negative to say. Will definitely stay again if we come to Glasgow again. Sorry we didn’t get to say goodbye and thank you Lorraine as we needed to be on the road early, but you have the most amazing boutique b&b and we loved our stay with you x Karen and Ian x

“Pleasant but quirky”

An unusual 5 day stay. Any hospitality on arrival was diminished by a request to remove shoes to avoid damaging carpet (we didn’t remove and we didn’t damage) and notification to pay on arrival (“I want my money” was the given reason). The room on arrival was cold as several radiators had not been turned on to welcome us. The location and building are good, and room was very nice - the Charles Rennie MacIntosh junior suite - although only dimly lit at night. For a “luxury” room, an in-room fridge and coffeemaker would be expected. The inclusive breakfast was good, although had to be taken in-room only. No dining room. Overall, some of the quirkiness detracted from what should have been a very pleasant experience given the price and the quality of the facility.

Upon arrival albeit earlier than expected (but up front notified) to drop our luggage then disappear quickly, it was very obvious our presence was not welcome. Body language and grimace facial expressions made for a very unpleasant experience. After a reasonably long journey my wife asked if she could use the loo before we head off. The response was shocking, an abrupt “NO” followed by “you can find a cafe at the end of the street… they have a toilet” - I took the response to use the loo as an insult but said nothing. When we returned for check in the poor body language and strained facial expressions continued whilst rhyming off protocols, procedures, rules & regulations etc we were then told.. yes told ! to take our shoes off and offered second hand slippers whilst having to leave our shoes at the front door. It looked like the entrance to Clark’s tbh. My wife contested the wearing of second hand slippers only to be abruptly informed “they have been washed” !!! I had a little giggle in my head and nearly responded with “ I have a clean pair of underwear in my suitcase if you fancy wearing them”… I thought better of it, this woman was clearly as obnoxious as they come. Breakfast day one, although mine was not that bad but extremely minimal, my wife’s omelette looked like it was prepared and frozen weeks ago.. rubbery in texture and clearly not edible. The protocol for obtaining breakfast is bizarre, clearly arranged by a control freak with the obvious motive to keep it as cheap as possible. Why would you want to pre order the day before only for it to turn up incorrect. Breakfast day two, the arrival of the order that appears outside your door at a prearranged time in two drop offs was incorrect. On this occasion the person delivering knew it was wrong as she waited outside the door for a response only to deny the missing item was not on the order… rubbish! it was known for sure. Why Lie ? I was informed porridge is classed as a main so one of the other two main items was chalked off without even asking which one we would like to not have… incredibly rude and disrespectful. Since when has porridge been classed as a main for breakfast… what a complete and utter misery ! Incredibly expensive for average quality, but the main complaint from ourselves is based on the obnoxious attitude towards us has guest, put a dent in our trip. I could go on but I think I have said enough… we will definitely not return to 15 Glasgow that is certain.

We had the CRM suite which is massive, but very poorly lit (despite there being no fewer than 8 lights in it). The owner is friendly and welcoming, informative about the City and the place is spotlessly clean. BUT the owner is also very particular about how guests should behave - there are instructions about when you should open windows, turning off lights and, for the ladies, not getting makeup on towels. Also, we REALLY didn't like the fact that, when we went out for the day, our toiletries and things were moved from where we had left them (by the sink which seems reasonable to us) and clothes which we had left on the back of a sofa were put in to wardrobes, including nightclothes. It is not up to the owner how quests use the room. Car parking is interesting. Yes, there is space form two cars at the rear of the property but, as the owner's quarters are on the ground floor, you cannot walk in to the property from the car park, so you need to walk along three streets to get back to the front of the hotel once you have parked. The cooked breakfast was average the first day and good the next - although one slice of saute potato seems somewhat mean to us. Breakfast is delivered to your room (no choice) but we would have much preferred a dining room option. Not worth £200 a night. The owner says she welcomes feedback, so hopefully she will respond p[positively to this...
