Stayed for 2 nights, no problems - I was really worried due to some recent reviews but the room was clean, air conditioning was a dream in the hot weather & we ate/drank in the bar a lot which was always good. Food is good value. Great location. Parked in the cheaper car park but only realised when we got there there’s one across the road (Google Maps makes it seem like it’s further away).

“Nice central hotel”

Really enjoyed this hotel close to queen street station,so good location Good size room on the 4th floor air-conditioning was a lifesaver as it was very warm and humid. Breakfast here was a bargain at £10.99 each too. Nice seating area with food offerings and a nice wee bar they do drinks … more

Really enjoyed this hotel close to queen street station,so good location Good size room on the 4th floor air-conditioning was a lifesaver as it was very warm and humid. Breakfast here was a bargain at £10.99 each too. Nice seating area with food offerings and a nice wee bar they do drinks deals during the week too. Good Internet nice size shower 🚿 too. For the price and location would deffo book again, it was also spotless

“Poor customer service”

Good hotel in good location bedrooms clean and tidy, plenty to see and do nearby. But unfortunately spoiled by the attitude of one member of staff. Good hotel in good location bedrooms clean and tidy, plenty to see and do nearby. But unfortunately spoiled by the attitude of one member of staff. We had never used the automatic check in process before, and although we completed the first two stages, we were struggling to validate our room card. I looked over to a couple of members of staff who were standing chatting nearby, and raised my card to show I was having trouble, only to be told by the young lady in a stern voice that if I waved my card at her I would receive no assistance. Not the kind of interaction I was expecting. Eventually a male member of staff provided assistance. The next night, England were playing in a World Cup game. About 20 fans had gathered in the bar to watch the game. With about 10 ml inutes to go before kick off, the TV was not on the right channel for the game. Another resident on the next table went to the bar to ask for the TV to be turned over, the hotel music to be turned down if possible, and the TV sound to be turned up. The same member of staff I had trouble with was behind the bar and told him he should go to a Sports Bar to watch the game, and she wasn't able to turn off the music or turn the sound up on the TV. Another member of staff who was nearby and heard the request then came over, turned the music off and turned up the TV. Apparently everyone we spoke to had some issues with this one particular member of staff who certainly needs a refresher course in customer service!
