“Great location, incredibly helpful staff, and delicious resaurant”

I had a great stay at the Uig Hotel. The location is ideal, especially for exploring the Fairy Glen. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and on my last morning they went above and beyond by preparing a proper breakfast to take away when I had to leave early. I had a great stay at the Uig Hotel. The location is ideal, especially for exploring the Fairy Glen. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and on my last morning they went above and beyond by preparing a proper breakfast to take away when I had to leave early. The restaurant was excellent too (I had the venison). A perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring.

“A Great little hotel”

WOW !!! What a fantastic small hotel. They had a a room for me and my dog at very short notice late at night. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you have a dog 🐶😊

“Short stay”

Staff were excellent, helpful and attentive. Food was lovely, breakfast was very tasty too. We stayed in a family room, two separate rooms with a connecting door. Perfect for what we needed. Partial sea view was lovely too. Would recommend.

I am confused by the high rating. The hotel itself is very underwhelming and completely unaccommodating. Clean but bare bones. No AC. Few amenities. Very dated room. I am confused by the high rating. The hotel itself is very underwhelming and completely unaccommodating. Clean but bare bones. No AC. Few amenities. Very dated room. One electrical outlet and a simple tub bathroom. Wifi is not offered in rooms. Paper thin walls. Bed was quite worn and clearly in need of a refresh. Nice view of the bay from a very small window. The restaurant- our first night here they were out of almost every item we ordered. Drinks were very limited. Out of stout. No passionfruit for the martini they featured on their menu. No whisky as advertised for their old fashioned. No fish for one of the mains. We settled for fried Haddock and chips and the fry came burned. The next day we asked to order a starter of mussels to snack on and we were told it was not possible without a reservation (and they were completely booked). Also worth a mention but no fault of the hotel- the main road to and from Portree from Uig was completely closed for construction after 7pm. We could not visit the town for evening pubs or dinner options. Again not the fault of the hotel but super inconvenient given the supply shortage at the hotel bar. If the hotel was inexpensive, i'd be more forgiving but it was quite pricey for the inadequate value offered.
