Very impressed with this hotel, professional and friendly staff upon arrival. Room was large, modern , comfortable with all you could need including sky sports. only downside - touch any of the goodies on display or in the fridge and your bank balance will see it! lady at reception v kindly even offered an additonal fridge if i wanted to store my own items, thats service. sky bar was lovely relaxing on a saturday night with a great chap on guitar - added bonus. didnt eat but breakfast if booked the day before £15, or £25 on the morning.. few mins walk from tube (which has 2 lines and you can be in the center after 30mins), shops, plenty of eateries. will try out pool and sauna on our return. highly recommend

“Executive rooms not worth it ( it’s a virtual lounge don’t ask )”

I booked executive room with lounge access at a high price to be told it was virtual yes virtual I was thinking do I but one those masks on in my room like a computer game and go round and see what I was missing . They contacted me ,asking my arrival time which I replied 12 o clock but understand room would not be ready which was fine , unfortunately we arrived early so thought we would pay for breakfast over £40 pounds for 2 breakfast then asked to leave Politely as the Coventry players were coming in Ok no problem, we go to reception to get a wrist band to get into bars and entrance to hotel and 3 drinks vouchers each to compensate lounge closure and access to cold coffee bar ( the flasks do go cold we use them ) then we were told at reception if you came to reception we could have got breakfast for £14 each not a sorry or they should have mentioned it when paying at restaurant, so I mentioned I am with my wife and don’t want her to be on her own with no room again understand room not ready so went for a walk as she said come back at 12 -30 I will make a priority. Ok no problem went back 1-15 pm she pretended not to know anything about it until I jogged her memory on everything she said again room not ready over £300 pounds for this privilege so go back at 2 o’clock still not ready go back at 2-20 as getting a bit ill finally it was ready another receptionist got it done again I understand The 3 o clock check in , Got in the room and no virtual lounge or any game to play on , the room was ok . Next the restaurant booking as I was being checked in I said I had booked the restaurant for 8 o’clock her reply was you can’t do that they don’t take bookings on match day ok , after going through my phone and showing my booking she believed me . The restaurant not a lot of people in there with my experience an easy night we were sat down 20 minutes nobody came so took it upon myself to ask for drinks and get the orders in no starters thank god went straight to main course about hour wait which for me ok having drinks, the food came very nice mushrooms a little cold put everything ok this is were the trouble started a table at the back of us had there starter at least hour before started to get annoyed no main course they asked how long it would be 27 minutes so they really got annoyed which they were right to looked on there table and they had spent a lot of money on wine and drinks so three tried to sort it out one may to much so they cancelled their food order which was quite right by this time all the security came in could have be avoided trying to get them out one security could handled them they weren’t any trouble just a little when security handled one of the quest little shoving and pushing I had already ordered my sweet ,wish I hadn’t again took a long time to come was going to cancel it but waiter assured me it was coming to my left was a boy and his dad having a meal again they had starter first what a mistake from eating starter to getting main course over hour if not longer, My sweet finally came cold could not eat it had two of the vouchers left but to be fair waiter came and said we could have peroni in the bar But bar closing so went to sky bar but to busy so went back to restaurant to have peroi when fished peroni the boy and dads meal arrived that’s a long time ( no offer of virtual meal ) and guess what cold who ever is taking temperatures needs a word or someone is going to get ill. One good thing my waiter tried his best but team let him down as for the guys who had the trouble and the boy and his dad you were very patient and the others . I have stayed here before the hotel is great for Wembley the planning they do is great but on a match day the standards slip a little would I go back yes but wouldn’t book executive room just not worth it ( plus no virtual head set ) Thanks for the experience
