It's been almost two weeks since we returned to Sugar Beach Resort from our vacation. We've settled back into our routine, and now it's time to share our experience. My sister's family was staying at an accommodation, and we were there as her guests on a half-board basis. Upon our arrival, we received a warm welcome from the security team. The reception team was very welcoming. They greeted us with a cocktail and a cold towel, which was a nice touch. They also gave us a brief overview of the resort's facilities to ensure we'd have an enjoyable stay. Thank you! The porters were very nice, and we received our luggage on time. Our room was very clean and tidy. In the afternoon, we requested an iron, and the floor supervisor offered us ironing services on both days. The staff at the gym was very friendly and welcoming, and the team at the boat house was also helpful. My wife and sister had a full-body massage, and the spa therapist exceeded their expectations. (Sorry dear I forgot both therapist's names). We enjoyed the hammam and spent an hour by the pool while waiting for them. I have been working in the hospitality business for twenty-two years, particularly in the food and beverage department as a restaurant and room service manager. Throughout my career, I have always treated all of our clients equally, without discriminating between internal and external guests. However, on our first night, I experienced unequal treatment. Despite placing our drink order before heading to the buffet, our drink arrived after we had our first course even though our water was not poured. Meanwhile, at the next table, all the services were being promptly provided, which felt unfair to me. During a conversation with a head waiter, he mentioned that many of the accommodation staff members behave rudely towards the waiters. This might be the reason why the waiters did not approach our table. I felt sorry for the team if they had such a mentality. They should not penalize the customers due to someone else's bad behavior. They should not be judgmental. I am not complaining, instead, I am trying to bring this to the attention of the management so that it does not happen again. On our second night, we had a wonderful experience with our waiter, Noah. He was unaware of our first-night experience, but he did everything possible to make us feel special. He stayed with us throughout all our dinners, and the service was exceptional. I had a feeling that he was a new hire, so I gave him some advice on how to treat a customer. Thank you very much, Noah. Keep being the way you are. On both days, the breakfast was delightful, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The kitchen staff were also helpful, explaining how the buffet works. The food was exceptional.
