“Put a microwave oven in the room”

A microwave oven in the room would have been nice, it was extremely awkward using the public microwave in the same spot where vending snacks were and common foot traffic next to the hotel restaurant

I hadn't planned to stay at the Radisson in Phoenix, but a last minute flight cancellation created the opportunity. The person who made my reservation inquired about my eligibility for several discounts and was able to locate one for which I was eligible. The hotel's free airport shuttle was a major reason I chose this location. The common areas were well maintained. I felt safe. The room was clean and comfortable. Even though I thought the cooler (sign said it was not a refrigerator) in the room was not working, it actually was and kept my beverages and food nicely chilled. When I call to the front desk about the cooler malfunction, I was immediately offered a maintenance person to come up and investigate. As foodies my granddaughter and I enjoyed the food. The salmon tacos were beautifully presented despite having a only a small amount of salmon. The dish was loaded with veggies and fresh. The side of cold corn and black beans was not an enhancement. A warm side would have been nice. The barbecue chicken wings were overly sauced, but they were big, hot, fresh and tasty overall. The breakfast buffet was good. The scrambled eggs and the oatmeal were both outstanding. I really appreciated the brown sugar topping for the oatmeal. The whole fresh fruit was an added bonus. Note to kitchen: PLEASE get small batch or individual decaf packages. I really wanted my coffee. From the registration staff to the shuttle bus driver who picked us up at the airport and gave us cold water from a cooler in his van to the server in the restaurant for dinner and the attendants for the breakfast buffet who made sure we were satisified, all the staff we met in person were phenomenal. Because of the snafu with the airlines, I was hyper suspicious and nearly did not make my reservation at the Radisson because during my first call to the direct number, the man seemed to have been working from a bar. There was so much background noise I could not understand him. After I hung up he called me back and that made me further suspicious. So then I dialed different number from the website to make my reservation. We received better than 4 star service and this experience has put Radisson on my top 5 list of places to stay when traveling. God's blessings to all who gave us a peaceful evening and restful night after a travel ordeal.

Other than a “ False alarm” fire alarm going off at quarter to midnight ( and after calling the desk to verify if it was an actual fire) , we enjoyed the clean/ quiet room, pool and jacuzzi. We did have some trouble getting the room service as no one answered the phone after many calls. We decided to eat in the dining area instead. It was very clean , and modern design. The buffet was good with a lot of selections. All in all, even though we had near heart attack wake up in the middle of the night, we did get a little respite for ourselves.
