The location is right in the heart of Prescott in the vicinity of all of the shops, restaurants and saloons. The hotel in situated in a quaint old building. The elevator was installed in 1928 and has just the right amount of rustic charm. Our guest room was just the right size. Everything was clean from our guest room to the hallways to the restaurant to the lounge to all of the outside spaces around the hotel. The only meal we purchased in the Bistro was breakfast, which was priced right and the portions were just the right size. Parking is directly behind the hotel in a free parking garage right across from the hotel. I highly recommend this place.

“Historical, charming, comfortable”

The old western charm of this hotel is authentic and delightful. The room was large, bathroom small, all well equipped. There’s no gym and some street noise but those detractors are more than overcome by the lovely staff, great bars and perfect location.

What a great find on Whiskey Row. Right in the middle of all the activities, across from court house square. What a great find on Whiskey Row. Right in the middle of all the activities, across from court house square. They have a first level bar that looks out over the square and a speakeasy bar in the lower level with free entertainment at both bars on the weekends. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. Since we were on the third floor, we rode the old time elevator with a metal gate. The architecture and history can’t be beat.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel/room was clean and charmingly decorated. There are the usual complaints associated with historic hotels: mediocre water pressure and overly soft bed. Those weren't unexpected. But there were several surprises that were disappointing. First, the elevator was inoperable, a major issue for seniors like us that was never mentioned in the numerous emails they sent before arriving, nor on their website. We did get help with suitcases, but they had to "find somebody." The elevator had obviously been broken for weeks to months, so you think they would have dedicated staff to help. Plus, just trudging up and down three steep flights was no fun. Next, when we asked why our room wasn't cleaned, they informed us that cleaning was "by request only." No mention at check-in, nor on the website, nor in the room. Finally, the Bistro (their main restaurant) closed for renovations for over a week. Again, no mention in emails nor on website. Again, all the staff were very nice, but I fault management for not disclosing these issues up front. There are several other historic hotels nearby, so we'll stay at one of those the next time we're in Prescott.
