My husband and I were visiting Boise for the first time and our 3-night getaway at The Riverside Hotel over Father’s Day weekend exceeded our expectations. The hotel’s superb location adjacent to the Boise River Greenbelt was a highlight! We walked miles on this multi-use trail exploring parks, neighborhoods, restaurants, and cafes along the way. And when our legs were weary, we returned to our very spacious, “clean and crisp” ground floor corner suite, enjoyed a glass of wine on our private patio with a front row seat to The Sandbar’s live entertainment, people watching on the trail, and stunning river views. The hot buffet breakfast was included with our reservation and it was a terrific value. Special shoutouts to our breakfast server, Melissa, who exuded warm and gracious hospitality, and to Bri, omelet chef extraordinaire, who greeted guests with a welcoming smile while tossing up delicious omelets to order. The weather was hot and sunny with families enjoying the outdoor pool, the music, and the food at The Sandbar. Lively ambience! We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends. And a special thank you to the entire Riverside Hotel Team!

This is the most underrated hotel in the area. The outdoor pool is heated in the winter so you can swim even when snowing and during the summer months it is a lively area with music playing, misters going and poolside service with drinks and food! This is the most underrated hotel in the area. The outdoor pool is heated in the winter so you can swim even when snowing and during the summer months it is a lively area with music playing, misters going and poolside service with drinks and food! The breakfast is amazing and is open to the public and a lot of people not staying at the hotel come and pay to eat their buffet, especially on the weekends it's that good! They have live music in the evenings in the lounge and outside during the summer. Staff is friendly, it's walkable to other little restaurants and wine spots along the river. Rooms are spacious and clean and the the balconies and patios are so nice during warmer months! We have stayed here several times and it is our go to spot when in Boise!

“Nice Property, Bad Air Conditioning”

We were staying at this hotel for my sister's wedding. She had booked her reception in the downstairs ballroom by the fireplace. Upon checking in, we discovered that the bathrooms closest to the ballroom were under construction and therefore unavailable for our event. Guests, including elderly and disabled individuals, had to go outside, or to the other side of the hotel to use the restrooms. Noone had notified the bride, or anyone involved in the event, of this inconvenience prior to our arrival. The "smart" thermostat in our room, and the heat in the hotel in general was also quite disappointing. In the hot Boise summer, adequate air conditioning is important. In our guest room, the thermostat was set to automatically turn off if it did not detect movement in the room. This led to us entering the room and finding it to be nearly 80 degrees even though we had the thermostat set to 69 degrees. This was incredibly uncomfortable and inconvenient. We brought this concern to the front desk, and their only solution was to offer us a large, bulky, and lout box fan. Aside from our room, the hotel in general was hot and muggy, seeming to not have any air conditioning turned on anywhere except for in the lobby. The staff were all kind and as helpful as the could be.
