Let me tell you guys, do NOT skip out on this hotel/motel. When me and my friend first arrived, the lobby was big and open and had leaking ceilings to emulate beautiful waterfalls, the smell of misty water encapsulated the air when we walked in, it was like walking into a rain forest. We waited a good 30 minute to get our room keys because we knew it was a high-class hotel so they obviously are very busy. When we finally got our keys, we drove around the back near the abandoned bowling alley (each stay came with a free round, but to our surprise this abandoned bowling alley was closed). Despite rumors of break-ins in the back lot, our car seemed to do just fine so I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about. We couldn't find our room, but lucky a coked-up hippy and a malnourished cat in the back alley was able to point us in the right direction because apparently our room was behind an emergency exit door, so 5 stars to that employee for the help. When we got to our room, we noticed a bunch of rug stains and a lot of friendly bugs. The bathroom had mold and rot, the water that came out of the sink was sightly yellow (which I am told means its mineral rich from the glaciers of the mountains, so it's safe to drink). TV had static on all channels, our balcony door was nailed shut up so we couldn't go outside to look at the abandoned bowling alley building. If there was a fire, they'd rather let me burn than let me fall off the balcony so 5 stars for customer safety. What I loved the most about the room was how well it accommodated me and my friend that night. The walls had some sort of white-noise noise machine that emitted sounds of small skittering footsteps and screams of bloody murder playing throughout the night. The bed was extremely comfortable, it had a setting where it would vibrate and massage you, but only by your legs which was weird. Best sleep of the entire trip regardless. The skittering vibration by my legs did get annoying after a while but I couldn't find the button to turn it off. When I woke up my legs hate red dots all over it but I guess that's just the side effect of a good night sleep. The next best experience of our stay was waking up for breakfast, and I know Days Inn is know for probably the best breakfast in the world. I was ready to fill my tummy with the "fresh-frozen pre-cooked eggs floating on water" that Days Inn is famous for but instead they had lukewarm oatmeal and stale bananas, just the way God himself intended them to be eaten. Do not miss out on those stale bananas, that banana helped give me energy to hike Sequoia. 4/5 Stars, Sad to say I didn't get the "stabbed by a hooker" experience here that everyone was raving about, so had to remove one star. Would stay again.
