“Awesome”
Absolutely fantastic. Great personnel, atmosphere and cleanliness. Price was reasonable and bar/restaurant was very pleasant. I would recommend and will use in the future.

“A favorite place with some warnings”
I have stayed at the Shattuck multiple times while doing business in the city. Its access to BART, reasonable prices, ambiance, and staff make it a great buy generally. As a bonus the Y is 50m away and opens at 5am. A couple of challenges - avoid the rooms in the x50s. They sit above to a very no… more

“Middling at best. Room was cleaned well but the lobby is too busy and staff likewise”
Room was unduly hot (not warm) and air conditioning is unwieldy and in any event could not cool the room. I informed the front desk, which took note and then proceeded to ignore me and the situation for the balance of my stay
