Stayed here as Platinum Elite member for convention across a couple of days. Was fortunate to get a suite upgrade which was extremely spacious and comfortable. The bed was great and I enjoyed quality sleep. Housekeeping and overall cleanliness was excellent too. Woke up and used the fitness center daily which was well equipped and not too crowded. This was then followed by breakfast at the Concierge Lounge which to my delight had 4 hot item options together with fresh fruits and cereal. Appreciated the Starbucks free flow coffee throughout the day too. Was mostly at the convention but when I needed to engage with the staff, I felt that some of them lacked warmth and some were not even interested to look at me. This was particularly true at the Front Desk. The only staff I truly appreciated was the on-demand shuttle driver who was very helpful with my very heavy luggage both loading and unloading. Would say this is a great place to stay for a convention as one can easily walk in and out anytime and enjoy a quick break once in a while but the service standards do require some refinement.

Let me preface this by saying I stay in a lot of Marriotts. The common areas in this hotel were nice for what it is… An airport hotel. Literally the airport is across the street and you could walk to the hotel in about 10 minutes - not kidding. The common areas were very nice: nice little pool, very nice outdoor restaurant/bar, the regular on site restaurant was not terrible, there’s a coffee stand open in the mornings, and a Starbucks across the street if that is your jam. Lobby was good size and plenty of room to sit and work if you need to do that for a while. I did an early check-in and a late checkout, and they didn’t charge me for either which was really nice because sometimes Marriott will gouge you on that unnecessarily. I also should point out that the window treatments were good because you could hardly hear the airplanes even though we were literally across the street from the airport. Extra points for having cleaning service daily, so many hotels have given up on this. I dinged them on the quality of the room. It was pretty beat up. Clean, bedding was fine, but half the outlets didn’t work, the towel rack and the toilet paper holder broke while we were in there, the covering on the desk chair was falling off and there was something wrong with the deadbolt so the door wouldn’t operate properly. It was just annoying. Also the fridge wouldn’t keep anything very cold. No one asked me for feedback when we checked out, so I didn’t tell them. Which is probably why all that stuff is still broken, — they don’t ask people what could be improved. I’d stay there again if I needed a hotel next to the Burbank airport. We were there for a convention, it has a relatively small convention space. It’s a good venue for that sort of thing. Maybe less ideal for a family vacation. Overall, a perfectly decent hotel, but not quite up to what I consider the Marriott standard.

The property is in need of an update. Trying to charge your devices in the room is quite challenging, the set up is quite outdated. None of the convenient methods of more contemporary hotels ie USB, etc are available. The showers still feature shower curtains, thought those had gone with the dinosaurs. The positive is the convenience to Burbank airport, 10 minute walk.
