This little gem was nicely tucked away in Burbank, providing a great environment, friendly staff, and a groovy vibe in the Valley. While I had booked a queen room, I was upgraded to a king - a nice surprise for sure! The room was spacious and had a nice, cold air conditioner to boot. Everything was neat and clean, and the decor had a fun, retro vibe! The staff were friendly and informative, and I couldn't have asked for a better two-night stay. Bonus: pastries from Home Boy Bakery were amazing!

I stayed here for four nights after a stressful emergency situation in my apartment building. The clean and tidy room had everything I needed, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and so accommodating. Great location, easy parking behind the hotel, a cappuccino machine in the lobby that was my lifeblood. 100/10 will be recommending The Tangerine to everyone. Thank you again, Team Tangerine. It was my daughter’s 10th birthday and she wanted to go to Universal Studios specifically for Harry Potter. I’ve not spent much time in Burbank/Hollywood and wasn’t familiar with the area so rolled the dice when I booked with The Tangerine. The location between freeways was easy to get to and it’s literally a very easy 6-minute drive to Universal Studios from the hotel. From check-in to checkout we experienced very friendly and helpful staff. The area is very nice, didn’t see one crime committed in the streets, didn’t see homeless, there were no unpleasant neighborhood smells, the streets were clean and there is quite a variety of restaurants within a very short walk from the hotel. The Tangerine gives an air of the 60s/70s in styling and ambience which seems to be a general theme of the neighborhood as other business signs were designed similarly. The rooms were clean, smelled pleasant and, while keeping a design that brought me back to my youth, were very nicely updated. In fact, we were told our room was one of the most recently renovated rooms and it was very nicely done. The pool was beautiful! It was wonderfully clean with plenty of outdoor seating and pool towels provided by the friendly front office staff. There was plenty of non-melted ice in the ice machine, a snack machine and a drink machine with plenty of selections. For breakfast, the front office serves delicious local pastries and has a coffee machine with just about any Java option you could think of and it tasted really great. If you’re looking for a hotel near Universal or just in Burbank/Hollywood but not an expensive one, look no further! This place is it and they won’t disappoint.

I just stayed at The Tangerine from Thursday through Sunday mid June. The temperature was fabulous in Burbank. The room was clean but not very interesting and bare bones but fine. The bakery treats were delicious in the lobby in the morning and so were the coffee choices via the machine. I’m super picky about my coffee and enjoyed the selection there. The parking is pretty limited but I was lucky w my rental car in finding a space each day. My only issue is that there was no one to help me with my large heavy suitcase up 15 concrete stairs. Im petite and also had my carryon tote, purse and water along with a heavy fairly large suitcase. No one was there to assist or tip in order to help. The only option offered was to put me in a ground floor room which I didn’t want by the cars and the pool. It’s basically an old motel with orange painted doors and banisters. It’s a good location though regarding Toluca Lake and local restaurants and Trader Joe’s etc. it was adequate but nothing to write home about.
