So happy to have found this hotel! We really enjoyed our time here, staying for 3 nights before heading off to Vegas and the Grand Canyon, returning for two more nights before we flew home. The rooms are a great size- we had two beds and a sofa bed with plenty of space in the room to accommodate all four of us (kids are 17 and 12). Rooms were spotlessly clean -with housekeeping visiting every other day which suited us perfectly- and everyone slept well here. Rooms were so quiet and we were never disturbed by anyone else or outside noise. We looked at the area of Glendale many times before booking but were worried it may be too far out from the tourist spots we wanted to visit whilst in LA. Absolutely not the case and areas such as Hollywood, Beverley Hills, Santa Monica and Six Flags are all within easy reach if you have a car. The shopping area nearby is definitely worth a visit and there is also a good variety of restaurants nearby. We decided not to use the onsite valet parking, purely due to the cost and the fact that there is a very well maintained and safe multi storey car park literally round the corner from the hotel which charges $12 a day- within easy walking distance even with four suitcases! If I was to find any issue with the hotel it would only be with the breakfast- as Hyatt members this was included in our stay which was a welcome surprise on check in, but we felt a 9am finish time was a little early. Seating can be very limited between 8-9am, however, the turnover of guests is quite swift so we were rarely kept waiting long. We also would have loved to have seen more pastries offered (have very fussy kids who don’t eat much early in the day) but all of us found something to eat each day. A good selection of tea and coffee were also available. Staff who we came into contact with were always pleasant and super helpful which we’re thankful for and we would happily recommend this hotel.

We only stayed one night. Wasn’t able to check in early. Never got the text our room was ready, tried to call, no one picked up. Didn’t ask if we had a car, valet is expensive. We only stayed one night. Wasn’t able to check in early. Never got the text our room was ready, tried to call, no one picked up. Didn’t ask if we had a car, valet is expensive. Room was standard Hyatt Place. Bed was comfy, wifi worked fine. Shower pressure was good. Did get woken up from other guests around 4-5am. I think breakfast is only for Hyatt members now, however you aren't missing out on much, it was very bland.

We stayed for nine nights, having stayed in a Hyatt Place elsewhere previously and loving the hotel. This was also a fine choice - Glendale is well situated, safe and with no shortage of dinner and shopping opportunities at the Galleria and Americana. I'd say the latter is worth a look just to see what a really upmarket shopping area looks like - it's almost like a Disney park. The staff at the hotel were unfailingly pleasant and helpful, the room was a generous size and crucially, we never heard a peep from outside the room so it was quiet. It was nice and clean, everything worked, the wifi was great. Really no issues from that pov. Although I'd recommend the hotel generally, there are some small reservations. The breakfast offering was good, but not great - although the fried options were most popular, the cereals were quite limited, often just bran flakes and Cheerios. Some granola or muesli would have been good additions. The breakfast area could be quite busy 0800-0900, although we were able to find somewhere eventually. The weekday 0900 closing time for breakfast seemed a tad early for the holidays, and it prompted a bit of a rush. Final point though is that if you join World of Hyatt, which is free, you can get breakfasts for free if you mention at check-in. Final point has to be about the parking. Paying for hotel parking is just something you have to factor in these days and in this case, there are valets to pay. The cost depends on the day, $38-$48, although we had no more detail than that. I think the hotel is built specifically for valet parking and any other system would result in chaos. The valets were nice guys and we seldom had to wait long for our car, but the cost really mounted up. As we stayed for nine nights it cost us $400 (£300), plus tips. There were cheaper car parks nearby but in the end, since we were getting breakfasts for free, we put up with the cost, but it felt like a lot of money just to leave your car somewhere.
