We have travelled extensively and stayed in some of the most famous hotels in the world, but Château Marmont is in a league of its own. It is not just a hotel — it is a living piece of Hollywood history, wrapped in effortless style and quiet glamour. From the moment you arrive, there is a sense that you are somewhere truly special. The building itself is iconic, the rooms are full of character, and the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else: discreet, relaxed, and deeply luxurious without ever being showy. The service is exceptional. Every member of staff seems to instinctively understand the balance between attentiveness and privacy. Nothing feels forced, nothing feels scripted — just genuine, warm, highly professional hospitality. You feel looked after while still feeling completely at home. The food and drinks are wonderful, whether in the restaurant, by the pool, or late at night. There is something magical about sitting under the trees or by the pool knowing you are in the heart of Hollywood, yet feeling a million miles away from the noise. What makes Château Marmont truly unforgettable is its soul. So many luxury hotels are beautiful, but few have personality. This place has stories in its walls, romance in its corners, and a timeless cool that cannot be manufactured. Château Marmont is not just somewhere you stay — it is somewhere you experience. It leaves you with memories, not just photographs. It is the kind of hotel you compare all others to afterwards, and very few come close. We will never forget our time here and cannot wait to return. Château Marmont has set the bar impossibly high.

“Wonderful, magical with superb food and friendly and kind staff.”

It was the most wonderful magical experience celebrating my 70th birthday with my son. It had been on my bucket list for over 30 years! The staff were kind and friendly and the food was superb. Thank you Chateau Marmont x.

Due to its reputation, I've had this hotel on my radar for years, so when we were back in LA I booked our first night here. Having travelled from the UK, we were tired when we arrived, but received a warm welcome from all the staff. We were shown to our room on the floor above reception. It was the cheapest room and was a decent size. The bathroom was very dated, I think they would call it shabby chic. There was a really good complimentary snack bar, plus a book on the hotel to take away. We weren't hungry, so went down to the bar for drinks, after being shown the pool area. We were given a great spot in the bar to do a bit of people watching. We slept reasonably well, but woke up a bit early due to jet lag. We had breakfast in the hotel and took the opportunity to wander around the pool/bungalow area. Very nice. It was too chilly to make use of the pool area, which is a shame as they extended our check out time. On check out the extras (bar, breakfast, parking, garden fees & taxes) were pretty substantial, but you only live once. We've done it now, ticked it off, wouldn't go back and not do it, but I doubt that we will go back again as we prefer absolute luxury to shabby chic.

A hotel that needs no introduction. This was our first stay at CM and will absolutely not be the last. So many things about this place feel special. This hotel is not for people who book "by the numbers". This is will never win an award for "best hotel" here on Tripadvisor. It's about a feeling and sense of place. The service is impeccable. It's informal but polished. There's no pretense, interactions are conversational in nature. You really feel like it's a sanctuary, for you and for so many people over the years. The F&B spaces are a delight, the pool is beautiful (heated and open 24 hours to boot), the drinks are strong, table tennis at night is a vibe. It's the kind of the property that looks rooted in time but all the details are there. This was one of 3 properties in our recent LA visit (we used to live here for years) and the one we'll return to will be Chateau Marmont.
