“Lower your hotel expectations, its more of campground with motel style cabins”
The good - requested ocean view room in Spindrift (I think). The room was recently renovated, a nice size and basically clean. The bad - EXCEPT for the ants in the bathroom and the closet and a few showed up in the bed. Never could figure out how they got in the bed or on the closet shelf. You ar… more

“expect rustic”
beautiful location!!! very rustic. room was quite small and not well maintained. bathroom light was out so had to use with door open. knob came off the toilet. loud generator (?) went on after midnight for several hours. still... the location is wonderful and loved the big fireplace by the lodge.

“Beautiful spot, mediocre management.”
The grounds are beautiful. Lodgings are rustic, and mostly comfortable (I have stayed in CCC cabins many times in other locations). Did not notice the heating system at first and spent some nights uncomfortably cold. There was a bag of wood to burn in the fireplace which produced no heat in the roo… more
