Had an out of town guest visiting and booked them into this hotel for one night. It was the perfect location for our guest (a shopper, next to all the downtown boutiques) and conveniently located for exploring everything else about Palm Springs. For context, I am Diamond level with IHG One Rewards, but this was utilizing my mother's annual free night that comes with her IHG One Rewards Premier credit card from Chase that she never uses and the free night was about to expire. With the card she gets Platinum level with IHG One Rewards, and so the hotel room goes with those benefits since is her reservation rather than mine even though I am checking in as the guest. As a Platinum guest, we could choose the 600 rewards points or a $10 bar credit and we chose the latter. We did receive an upgrade to a premium room with a mountain view. It appears to be a larger room with a sofa sitting area. The rooms are quite nice and our guest said the bed was wonderful. On check in, we used the Kimpton Social Password, currently "In Bloom and Out of Office", and that allows you to play a ring toss game. Each peg was a different prize and it appeared the top prize was waived resort fee. Ring toss is not my speciality and the way they hold the board vertically and have you toss the hard plastic rings, it is a very difficult game. But even if you are unsuccessful, you still receive 5,000 IHG points which is very nice. We utilized our bar credit at the rooftop bar to close out our evening. It is a nice bar, although being off season and summer, it was nearly empty and quite hot. But the drinks were great! The staff all over the hotel are great. In particular Abby at reception was very helpful securing a late check out for us which helped with the schedule. Valet parking is included with the resort fee, but you can self park which I opted for since we were coming and going quite a bit. Parking is in the surface lot behind the hotel. Our schedule did not permit partaking of wine hour, but we saw them breaking it down at the end and it looked like standard Kimpton with a red wine, a white wine and some type of canned soda for non-alcoholic. Living here, I do not have use for a hotel often, but if I do need another guest room in the future, I would certainly book the Kimpton Rowan again.

The hotel is located centrally in the heart of Palm Springs. It’s clean and the staff is super.

“Great Hoel in the Middle of it All”

Just loved this hotel. The room was spacious and lovely, the pool was great, the staff are so friendly and professional. And of course, the location can't be beat. Will definitely stay here the next time we return.
