We had such a great stay at the **Kimpton in Palm Springs**—it really exceeded expectations from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the reception process was incredibly welcoming and seamless. The staff set the tone right away—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made us feel taken care of throughout the entire stay. The pool scene was one of the highlights. Beverage service was prompt and attentive without ever feeling intrusive, and the overall vibe was exactly what you want in Palm Springs—relaxed, stylish, and fun. Little touches like complimentary sunscreen available poolside were a huge plus and showed real attention to guest comfort. There was always something going on in the best way—live music added energy without being overwhelming, and the social hour was a great touch that made the property feel lively and social. We also loved the convenience of their text system—super responsive and easy to use for anything we needed, from quick questions to requests. The rooms were very well laid out—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with a great flow that made it easy to settle in and relax. Overall, it’s a property that nails both the experience and the details. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, well-executed stay in Palm Springs.

Absolutely wonderful weekend away to PS. The hotel is right in the middle of DT PS. The grounds are great. The place is clean. The food is great. The pool kitchen/bar is great, service was really good and staff super nice. 4 saints food was really good, they made us feel really special for our anniversary. Every staff we interacted with was great. Ahmed the Concierge was super helpful getting us reservations at places that were hard and also had a TON of really cool recommendations for food and shopping. The GM was also super helpful and accessible and overall 10/10 experience.

I stayed 6 nights after moving from it's competitor The Thompson. I preferred this room on the 6th floor with valley view, mainly because of the large marble counter that ran the length of the room and also the draws. I had a place to sit and apply my make-up and dress. The Thompson had no draws and no real counter space, just some odd shelves i used for shoes. However this hotel had far better quality bathroom towels. Yet it had a terrible shower with no hand held shower head option. I had a problem with noise from slamming doors in The Rowan. I could also always hear the rather animated housekeeping staff. They need to learn to speak quietly to eachother in the hallways. I once went out and asked them to please shh it a bit. After that they were better. There seems to be a gap under the doors. Maybe this can he remedied. The design doesn't help, one long rectangular building and hallway with all room off it. The Thompson had a very clever design with only a few rooms off in different corners. If I stayed again I would pay more for a corner room or suite. The hotel has a free wine happy hour, which is really nice. Even though I didn't avail myself of it. I wish The Thompson had this. I never drank a Moet from the dispenser either. Ahmed the Concierge was particularly good. He recommend a local driver to take me to all my Modernism Events and do my Airport transfers, Lisa Diva is her name, she was fun and personable yet professional and at a fair price. He also help me book a hair appointment. I had a few coffees and some food at their breakfast bar downstairs it was good. A limited menu but all done well. Upstairs they have a restaurant. I ate there one night. The main course was inedible, like rubber I had to send it back to the kitchen. The sauce tasted good. I don't think this was particularly well handled by the manager that night. He never returned to ask me what else I may wish to eat, knowing I had not eaten dinner yet. This isn't how it is normally handeled if such an issue arises, which is rare. I ordered some sides through a waiter. In general I found all of the restaurants in P.S very below par. But I come from Melbourne so it's hard to top what we have here. One place was very Melbourne, Bar Issi...fantastic! This hotel had a floating rate, based upon their occupancy, even though i booked it so far ahead to secure my room that I got a 15% discount. I don't really like this floating rate. The Thompson is a more expensive hotel but it has a better social area and pool deck. I never had any issue finding a lounger at either place. I think the lobby area needs of The Rowan needs a redesign frankly. During the cold snap we had, the fire place barely emitted any warmth. Must be health and safety issues. Overall a good comfortable hotel but it has no memorable or outstanding feature. In fact i just realised i barely took any photos of it, since in P.S in Modernism week this hotel doesn't hold up to to the homes I saw design wise.
