It’s been a number of years since I stayed at this hotel and there was always reasons I stayed here. There were also reasons I stayed away. But recently, I came down to SoCal to do some fishing and stay at this facility. Honestly, I love it, but let’s make it better. There’s a certain staff member that should be recognized for her enthusiasm, love of her job, who makes everybody’s stay here much more enjoyable. Her name is Paulina. She has a smile on her face listens to the customers has nothing but kind things to say, goes over and above, I could only hope that she succeeds with this chain because she would be an asset to any company anywhere. I just hope that the management recognizes her for her amazing achievements in customer service. All these years later, there’s a number of staff that they will not be mention that their motivation has been shot, and other people who just don’t have the skill. They literally suck the oxygen out of this place. There is one other fellow at breakfast every morning. I swear he never gets a day off, but he keeps that breakfast service looking amazing. He should also be commended on his excellent service and his attention to detail, though it go unnoticed this man skills make everybody’s morning just a little easier. Now, I will share the facts that this hotel needs a facelift it always has. It always remain remains the same. The carpets need to be changed, you can’t just slap a coat of paint on certain areas to make a photograph look much better or that the naked eye. They need new mattresses and when they get them, they need to realize they need to be changed once in a while. I don’t think any of us have mattresses this old in our own homes. Then there’s another concern I have it’s the fact of a sliding doors of this facility. They need to have somebody other than just their own maintenance crew, try to adjust and fix them. Maybe it’s time to replace them. I’m not a professional, but I do know when the door has no seals. All that noise comes in. To make this a real 4+ star hotel, they need more staff like Paulina, they need to finish the painting, do it right and finish what you start, they need new mattresses and they need to continually change them out, and they need to deal with their doors because as a person who loves to travel, I want to enjoy the peace and quiet of my suite and when 99% of the noise comes from outside, it’s time to do something about that. There’s been options for this so many years. Dealing with some of these small issues would actually alleviate pressures and stress on the staff so people like Paulina can continue to smile and assist travellers as they come through this area. I will give Paulina 5 Gold Stars ⭐️

“Decent Hotel , Good Value.”

Decent hotel , comfy rooms with daily housekeeping . Free breakfast was good and plentiful and the heated pool and hot tub were very good. Situated in a nice part of Point Loma and only a short Uber ride to many attractions. Walking around the area was safe and there were plenty of eating choices l… more

Decent hotel , comfy rooms with daily housekeeping . Free breakfast was good and plentiful and the heated pool and hot tub were very good. Situated in a nice part of Point Loma and only a short Uber ride to many attractions. Walking around the area was safe and there were plenty of eating choices locally. Pleasant , helpful staff . Free luggage storage available and free parking. Unfortunately they couldn't accommodate our high floor room request which we asked for in advance nor do they offer a free shuttle to the airport according to reception . A small table for the balcony would be a good idea. The Fridge , coffee maker and microwave in-room was helpful. This hotel does not have a bar or cafe/restaurant , it does have a gym and vending / ice machines. We would return to this hotel if we were back in the area.

The hotel is located near the airport which provides easy access to major attractions and freeway system. The King room was spacious with a balcony that overlooked the harbor. The hotel is located near the airport which provides easy access to major attractions and freeway system. The King room was spacious with a balcony that overlooked the harbor. The bed was very comfortable Parking at the hotel is free and ample. The bathroom is very small for the size of the room. The room was sparsely furnished. During this stay, we did not traffic noise which I do not remember from previous stays.
