“Very nice”
We stayed here for a night as part of a road trip. I liked the hotel: stylishly decorated, easy walk to the beach, attractive heated pool, good breakfast, nice sea breeze, friendly reception staff. The only downside was that the wifi did not reach our room.

“Basic stay in San Simeon”
This place is emblematic of all of San Simeon- a little tired and run down. I'm not sure many people are staying there if they are not going to Hearst Castle. “Another good stay.”
Our 2nd stay at this hotel and another good experience. Room was large and clean with fireplace, small sofa, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Pool was heated and clean. Location is great for exploring the local coast area.

This hotel has great ratings, which I don't understand. It is mediocre at best. Upon entering the "Ocean view" room, you couldn't actually see the ocean because the windows were filthy!
