“Great location near Ord”

Stayed 3 nights, Hotel is in great location with mall and movie theater very close, right next to Highway. Breakfast was good, and Starbucks in lobby was great. Alexis was very friendly and upgraded my room, which was huge and had great views. We will definitely be back!

We were placed here when our connecting flight was cancelled for the second day in a row by United. The hotel was nice and the lad on reception went out of his way to assist us explaining where we could spend our airline vouchers etc. The room was spacious and we wished we could have had more time here. We had a couple of drinks to wind down in the lobby bar but didn't eat as too stressed and tired from the ongoing delays. The public areas are very welcoming and modern, staff all friendly and helpful. In the morning breakfast not included so we decided to wait and eat lunch at the airport, there is a Starbucks on site (wasn't open in the evening), but all they did was cakes pastries and coffee - not what we wanted. There were no airport screens in the hotel, maybe this one was not deemed to be such a hotel. Overall a pleasant stay at the hotel would definitely stay again if in the area.

“Hotel in Decline”

I’ve stayed here a lot over the years and the place has finally turned the corner. I’d put it at below a Hampton Inn in the Hilton hierarchy. The rooms needed refreshing a couple of years ago but now they need complete overhaul. Everything is old, from the furniture to the rug to the bathroom. ... more

I’ve stayed here a lot over the years and the place has finally turned the corner. I’d put it at below a Hampton Inn in the Hilton hierarchy. The rooms needed refreshing a couple of years ago but now they need complete overhaul. Everything is old, from the furniture to the rug to the bathroom. The bed is comfortable, for sure. But that’s if you can sleep with the noisy air system rattling away. Hotel service is fine, gym okay. Restaurant appears to no longer have a buffet, at least on Saturday morning. It does have a weak menu and weaker service. I will stay elsewhere in the future.

“Adequate Hilton”

Stayed here in a pinch due to flight cancelation at O’Hare. It’s a nice enough hotel. Public spaces and my room seemed clean. The public areas could use updating – a bit of a time warp with red and black carpet along with the wallpaper scheme, etc. The decor in my room was acceptable. The food and service at the restaurant was good -- seemed to be adequately staffed. I had a flatbread which was very good. My issues with the hotel: Heating was not great. Had to set the thermometer to 80 and it was still cool in the room. The curtains/drapes didn’t open and close properly – looks like some definite maintenance on the upper tracks needed. And lastly, I had no hot water for my shower. I called guest services who indicated they knew and were working on it. When I checked out, there was no offer for any credit adjustment or Hilton points until I asked. The front desk clerk said management was looking into options since the entire building was impacted. My guess is that was her polite way of saying that “we’re not doing anything for anyone”. I ended up having to stay an additional night in the area because of the weather and opted to move to the Embassy Suites next door. Better choice.
