I stayed at Christie Lodge in March 2026. Room: 1 queen with Murphy bed Check in: 5/5 check in was quick, easy, courteous. Staff was very helpful with any issues we encountered. Location: 5/5 located in Avon it’s centrally located but has a free shuttle that can bring you to the surrounding sky resorts. Parking: 5/5 parking was readily available and we were provided with a parking pass. Room: 4/5 The room itself is kind of an odd shape with the main entrance going strait into the bedroom. The biggest detractor though was the heat in the room. We were on the third floor and the heat was pretty uncomfortable (Month of March). There is a portable air conditioner but we didn’t set it up during our stay. The bed: 3/5 The queen bed was comfortable however the lack of fitted sheet on the bed made it where it kept being untucked and the mattress exposed. Pillows are terrible so bring your own. The pool/hot tub: 4/5 The heated pool And multiple hot tubs located around the lodge are a very convenient and relaxing. It’s not luxurious but it’s a real point of attraction to this lodge. Overall: 4/5 If you are staying at the property to hit the sky hills nearby I would recommend it. Tips for any future guests would be, bring your own pillow, and get the middle floor to reduce the heat in your room.

The Christy Loge is convenient to great restaurants like Vin48 (my fave), getting groceries , liquor and ski clothing if you forgot to pack something. The one bedroom is more than enough for two people, but with 3 bedrooms have small living room and kitchen spaces. There is a shuttle that stops right outside the door making getting to anywhere really easy.

“Great RCI exchange for skiing”

A perfect lodge for skiing at Beaver Creek and Vail. RCI exchange. A couple of tips if you go, take the bus just outside the lodge or walk to the transport station and take the ski lift from the Westin to Beaver Creek for great views. Vail skiing is also convenient. The hot tub at the lodg… more

A perfect lodge for skiing at Beaver Creek and Vail. RCI exchange. A couple of tips if you go, take the bus just outside the lodge or walk to the transport station and take the ski lift from the Westin to Beaver Creek for great views. Vail skiing is also convenient. The hot tub at the lodge is great, but if you want a spa day go to the Westin and you can get a day pass with hot tubs on the river and workout classes, outdoor bar.

“We had what we needed”

First, the positives: The location is fantastic. Nestled in Avon, the Christie is set between Vail and Glenwood Springs. Both are easily accessed via interstate. Our visit was during off-season, so the lodge was very quiet. Our rooms were well appointed. We reserved a 3-bedroom unit and were placed on the 3rd floor. The bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen, while small, offered everything but an oven. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and such. Fridge was full size. And we were right next to an ice machine....yay! The beds were super cozy and there were two showers and one full tub. Water was nice and hot. And the baths were stocked with pump soap, shampoo and body wash. There were plenty of towels and linens. The rooms were CLEAN!! We were able to meet with family in the large atrium on the first floor. It is furnished like a patio and the hot tub sat in the center. Off Season Heads Ups: The bike rental store in the lodge was closed. Many, many businesses take time off and are closed. The Lodge staffing at the front desk was minimal. I imagine it gets quite boring, and that reality was very apparent in the attitudes of every staff person I encountered. The epitome of "meh." They were very friendly, tho. Improvements Needed: Our room layout was a bit strange. Both outward doors opened to bedrooms, so one has to go through the bedroom to get to the shared living space. The rooms had no central heat or air. There were two portable ACs in the unit, one in the shared space and one in the balcony-facing bedroom. Neither bedrooms accessed by the entry doors had AC at all. I did appreciate the box fan. A bar and half-bar lock on the sliding door to the balcony would be appreciated. Please upgrade the showerheads and/or check the water pressure through them. It was sufficient, but could be better. ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: If stairs are a problem for you, please note that the elevator does not access rooms. Make sure to let the front desk staff know that you need elevator access. Though the elevator reaches all main floors, a small set of steps was between the elevator and the wing where our room was located. (Surprise!) Wheelchairs may struggle a bit in the hallways to the rooms as they are carpeted rather thickly.
