“good hotel if you dont mind noisy rooms”

The rooms are spacious and new, however they offer rather poor noise protection - you'll hear everything happening in the hall and at your neighbors.

Great first impression when you walk in the front door including the welcome from Nolan at the front desk. Clean and classy looking. Only 1 elevator is working (sounds like that's been an issue for months) but it wasn't a problem for us over Thanksgiving weekend. The gentleman at the coffee shop was excellent as were the bartenders. We did not eat at the restaurant and left after 3 days wondering "was breakfast included?" Nobody informed us either way and there was no clear signage. We also left with no idea where the gym or pool were-downstairs perhaps? It's fine-we had thought we might use those facilities but wound up not having time. Our room was clean and comfortable but DARK. Why don't hotels put in ceiling lights? Tons of lamps but still dark, dark, dark. The shower looked so promising with a giant shower head but the water was a mere trickle, there's no ledge for us older ladies to shave our legs, and our mounted shampoo took a nosedive off the wall our first night there. The makeup mirror however was amazing for this hard of seeing 50+ year old. The bed was super comfortable including the bedding and pillows. The couch was great as was the desk area. The thermostat for the room is inconveniently located BEHIND the television and since the room is so dark and we're of the age where our eyesight isn't great, it was a major challenge to adjust it. My final "con" is that they charge $10/night to park. We did not have a car, but for this area, having to pay to park in an uncovered lot seems pretty suspect. All in all however, we liked the hotel and as our daughter is currently living in walking distance, odds are very good that we will return in the future.

Renaissance Boulder We were in town for a wedding. The venue was very nice and the staff super. The lobby area is beautiful. As far as the hotel goes. We had two interactions with the front desk staff and both young men were short and condescending, bordering on rude. There is only one working elevator and the other one has been out all summer and they have no date on when it will be repaired. They did make the service elevator accessible to guests, but it’s not convenient and with the service staff using it as well, it’s slow. This was one of the oddest rooms we have ever stayed in. When we first entered the room there was a long dark hallway to the right, it was the bathroom. Then came the sitting room. Or should we say the room of misfit furniture. We had at least 4 lamps or tables that were falling apart. Nothing matched and the desk was just awkward. Around another wall came the bedroom. We had a Mountain View, so I guess that’s why this room was a premium room. Walking the 37 steps around two walls to the bathroom in the dark was not premium. Speaking of the bathroom, the shower was huge. But the person who decided to mount the shower products 6 feet off the ground and 6 feet away from the shower head should be fired. The room had no drawers for clothes and the only closet was beside the front door. We thought maybe they were playing a joke on us, but friends staying there said their room was much the same. Not Renaissance ranking at all, we’ve stayed at nicer Fairfields.
