We had an amazing one week getaway at Chateau Du Pikes Peak! Our hosts, Samantha and Shane, were kind, welcoming and accommodating. They are genuinely good people. Their home is located in an upscale community just north of Colorado Springs and is convenient to several good food, shopping and entertainment options. Their guest guide book contains thorough details regarding appliance/TV operation and lists numerous food and activity recommendations, however I suggest doing your due diligence in advance to find the best food/activity options for your personal preferences. The view from the property is fantastic, and there are multiple outdoor seating options to take it all in. We stayed in the Pasteur Suite, which shares the same stunning views as the back yard. The living areas were clean, well-appointed and stocked with all the essentials. On the few occasions we asked for something, it was provided in a timely and gracious manner. The communication between the hosts and us was thorough and easy. Check in and check out were a breeze. We particularly enjoyed the bar area (bring your own alcohol), the dorm sized fridge/freezer, the theater room (currently no DVD player, but lots of Direct TV and streaming channels), and the gas fire pit (weather permitting). Of course nothing is perfect, so here are some things to be aware of before booking. None of them impacted my rating nor our enjoyment of the property. As stated clearly on their description, the only access to the rental unit is down the side of the home across a rock stairway/pathway. This can be tricky if you have any kind of mobility issues (natural or induced). The HVAC is controlled from the owners’ residence upstairs, which could be an issue if you need a temperature change when the owners are off-premise or otherwise unavailable. We did not run into any issues in that regard. Because you are in the basement of the owners’ home, you will hear some noise from upstairs and also some plane/train noise from outside. The owners do their best to minimize any disturbance, but it honestly can’t be 100% avoided. Our solution was a small, variable speed fan by the bedside (or bring a sound machine or earplugs if you prefer). If you are shorter in stature, the bathroom counter height in addition to the tall bowl style sinks may be an issue for you. Lastly, they do have a no shoes in carpeted areas policy. They provide disposable slippers, but it is better to just bring your own “inside only” slippers from home if you have them. As noted, these items are given as helpful and informative observations, not “dings” against the owners or the property.

We needed an escape that was close to home, and spent 3 nights at Chateau du Pike Peak. We expected a luxury space but had no idea it would be so amazing. Every detail considered to ensure a perfect private getaway. Don't expect to cook, but there are wonderful take-out restaurants very close by. Every space was a luxury, from the fireside reading area to the eat up coffee bar with big screen, to the full in-home cinema, and then two elegant bedrooms with lots of room to move about. It was November, so we didn't get to use the outdoor patio(s) but we will definitely return for another escape. The hosts are the greatest and make you feel at home from the start. A binder is provided that explains everything so you don't have to struggle to use any appliance or to find nearby places to go. They have thought of everything to make it so easy. We will look for an excuse to return very soon!

Our stay at the Chateau du Pikes Peak was simply amazing. The hosts (Shane and Samantha) have a very beautiful home in which they share the lower section consisting of 2 fully furnished bedrooms, a very luxurious bathroom and an activity room with mini fridge, fireplace with lounging chairs, and a very comfy theater room (perfect for watching our favorite football team!). Breakfast is available everyday - but the best part is the view! You have a clear view of Pikes Peak and the surrounding mountain range. What a wonderful view to wake up to each day! The hosts have a fantastic list of local restaurants and activities in a very organized booklet. You can tell they care about their guests and your experience with them. Several great restaurants and shopping venues within a mile of their upscale neighborhood. We can’t wait to go back and visit again.

This is truly a premier B&B. Samantha and Shane go all out to make sure you have everything you could possibly want. The room is located in the bottom floor of their lovely Tuscan style home which is in a stunning residential area. You walk down the stone steps around the house to your private entrance. You have full use of the amenities, which include a fireplace/reading area, a bar (bring your own alcohol), fridge, microwave, a movie theater room with recliners so comfy you could sleep in them, a lovely bedroom with walk-in closet and a gorgeous bathroom. The linens are luxurious and everything is so clean. There is a private outdoor space to relax at and a fire pit. And to top it off, the view of Pikes Peak. Upon arrival you are greeted by this amazing couple and are made to feel right at home. Samantha is so kind and friendly. She sets out a beautiful breakfast and provided me with a selection of gluten-free options. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay and will stay there again when our travels bring us back to the beautiful area of Colorado Springs.
