Decent budget place to stay but certainly nothing to write home about. I fixed the toilet soon after I walked in the room because I could hear the water constantly running. The chain had come off. You can see in the photos that the tub had a half ass repair. The elevator was obviously a little beat up. But this place did have a laundry facility and a decent little work out room.

“Decent hotel, but a little tired....”

Visiting Colorado for the very first time, we stayed two nights in the Comfort Inn North at Colorado Springs. While it was mostly a good stay, the hotel looked tired and our room could have definitely done with a renovation. We actually arrived a little early and Vanessa, working the front desk, went over and above to see that we got rooms. She was also super helpful with things to see and places to eat. More on that later. There were four of us, renting two rooms. Our room was definitely more dated with the rugs looking dirty and the furniture in not good shape. The bathroom was ok but the toilet was not a comfort height toilet. It was impossible to use. While the hotel needed an upgrade, we had a nice view from our room of the mountains, plus a walking/biking trail along a small creek. The location is an easy on-off from I-25. It was very close to restaurants, stores, etc. Also, the price was reasonable. The breakfast was very good and we certainly got enough to eat. Getting back to Vanessa, we told her we were going to Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods. She suggested that we also visit nearby Manitou Springs. So after our first two stops, we had plenty of time in the afternoon for Manitou Springs and we had a blast! So we appreciate Vanessa pointing us in this direction. I don't know if we will ever visit this area again, but it seems like we needed more than two days to see everything in and around Colorado Springs.
