“Nice new looking property in a shopping dining area”

This HIE is located in a large shopping and dining complex at the north end of Colorado Springs. We've stayed here twice and still it seems hard to find, especially in the dark. This HIE is located in a large shopping and dining complex at the north end of Colorado Springs. We've stayed here twice and still it seems hard to find, especially in the dark. Once located however, the hotel is quite nice, with friendly staff. It looks new. Comfortable larger room and nice amenities. We also enjoy the breakfast; a main reason for choosing Holiday Inn Express.

“Solid option for COS”

Stayed here a couple of nights while visiting family. The hotel was in good condition and seemed to have been renovated a bit since my last stay. Not anything super fancy, but in-line with the Holiday Inn Express brand standards and in good condition for the cost. Bed was comfortable, shower was spacious, bath products decent, temperature could be well-controlled in room. Staff were welcoming and helpful. I really appreciated the daily housekeeping. The breakfast is standard Holiday Inn Express stuff (reheated eggs, etc.), but was decent enough. They were out of some of the items by the later part of breakfast. Fitness center had decent equipment (again, for a Holiday Inn Express) but is in a tight space. Location is good if you have stuff in south and east Colorado Springs (not so good if you are going to Pikes Peak, etc.). In a major shopping center, so surrounded by shopping, food, and grocery options. Good option for Colorado Springs; I would not hesitate to return.

The hotel itself is typical Holiday Inn Express - clean, reasonable breakfast, nice beds, etc. The location is in an outside mall with chain restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself is typical Holiday Inn Express - clean, reasonable breakfast, nice beds, etc. The location is in an outside mall with chain restaurants and shopping. There is a also a movie theatre nearby. Our main complaint is that the weekend we were there several cars with add-on loud exhaust pipes in the parking lots of the mall that the hotel is in. It continued from 10pm-midnight. Again, not the hotel's fault, and it could have just been the 4th of July weekend, but it was loud at times.

“Needs a deep clean and more consistent housekeeping”

Have stayed here twice in autumn 2025. There are some issues. On my latest stay, the elevator was out for the entirety of the stay. That is annoying and apologies were not issued by the hotel. My bathroom also had cleanliness issues. The shower door and tile had not been thoroughly cleaned in weeks; they were covered with soap scum and marks. The chrome on the shower head and shower door were dull and covered in stains. Corners of the bathroom were covered in dust. Housekeeping was also very uneven. On the first stay, a housekeeper replaced towels but didn't touch the bed. On the second stay, the bed got made, but when I left the room after 11a one day, it was not cleaned. Walls and floors are thin, and it's easy to hear other guests and their TVs and conversations. The staff are nice, but the front desk staff person is often not accessible. At many hours, a sign said to call if you needed help. That's a sign of understaffing. Breakfast was standard for a Holiday Inn Express and served on all paper and plastic. Location is fine; you can walk to a few shops and (chain) restaurants. Overall, it needs a deep clean.
