“Hotel not worth it but staffs amazing”

Entering the hotel, you are greeted by the staff at the counters who are amazing! Rain and Trinity made staying here worth it! Entering the hotel, you are greeted by the staff at the counters who are amazing! Rain and Trinity made staying here worth it! They’re nice, friendly, professional and have outstanding customer service/hospitality skills. Now up to the rooms. The rooms are smaller than the pictures make it look but cute otherwise. The fridge was very useful considering we brought our own food and drinks to last us til breakfast. The sink was deep so you’re not getting wet washing your hands and water pressure from all sinks, bath and toilet was very good. Everything was neat, clean and tidy which also put me at ease. The problem was they provided dishwasher soap for the dishwasher that did NOT work. The Kleenex in the bathroom was completely empty. The only tissue that was there was the tissue they used to decorate on top. The staff was worth 5 stars. The room was worth 3 stars since some appliances weren’t working and things weren’t stocked. Now onto the breakfast.. the breakfast buffet was 1 star. I’ve stayed at other hotels that provided more and better options. The only options you had here were eggs, bacon, and thin French toasts.. there were also pancakes, pineapples and melons, 3 different types of muffins, oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, & english muffins. I was very disappointed considering Hampton inn, holiday inn, Hyatt, Marriott, Cambria, Quality inn, and even Comfort Suites had better and more breakfast options. The snacks and drinks they sold in their mini store were also very pricey at $9+ compared to other hotels. Hilton is very different than it used to be. A waste of money.

The location is top notch. The Homes2 Suites is with Tru by Hilton. The door that would be most convenient to use (on 15th Street) wasn't operational - either by choice or by mechanical issue. The location is top notch. The Homes2 Suites is with Tru by Hilton. The door that would be most convenient to use (on 15th Street) wasn't operational - either by choice or by mechanical issue. We were in a corner room on the 13th floor. The walls were so thin, we could hear housekeeping cleaning a window/mirror in the room next door (you know, that squeaky sound). There's not great sound barrier to the street below, either. Our first night was Saturday and I swear there was street drag racing till all hours of the morning. That part isn't the hotel's fault of course. Security - you have to use your key card to go to any floor, but the reader rarely worked. We joked with other guests about how it's a crapshoot whether or not you'll actually be able to get off on your floor. You could be riding up and down just trying to get lucky and get off on your floor. The breakfast was nice. The same items repeated but they were good. The eggs were especially tasty, in my opinion. The staff kept the food well stocked and the area was clean. But the real problem was the hot water in our room. The water never got hot at the bathroom sink. It took at least 15 minutes for the shower to get lukewarm. When I asked the hotel staff about it, they said "yes, it takes 5-10 minutes to get hot water." Even 5-10 minutes would have been nicer than what we experienced, but we thought it was odd that it was acceptable to the staff that it could take a while to get hot water. The bed was comfy, the view was nice, the staff was very friendly. Not sure I'd stay again though.
