The Westin Denver is located downtown and is a great setting for a medium size conference. I found the front desk extremely nice and helpful and the rooms are modern and updated. As keeping with typical Westin quality, the bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were great. Hot tip to request a room away from the elevator! Mine above the elevator and I had to crank up a White Noise machine to get any sleep! There’s no marriott lounge as per usual Westin standards.

“Nice Downtown Denver Hotel -- Close to Coors Field, 16th Street Mall, & Union Station”

The Westin hotel in downtown Denver was very nice. We stayed for two nights to attend baseball games at Coors Field. The ballpark is walkable from the hotel. The hotel is also steps to 16th Street Mall, Larimar Square, and walking distance to Union Station. We felt safe walking to and from the ballpark in the evening. We parked our vehicle with the valet service -- no issues and the staff was very nice and accommodating. I believe there are other parking garages across the street/in the area that may be an option if valet is not your thing. Check-in and check-out was easy -- staff was friendly and efficient. We weren't able to find luggage carts on the morning of our departure and ended up making several trips to bring things down to the lobby. Not a big deal, but...would have been nice to use had one been available. Our room appeared clean, well maintained. We had a corner room on the 5th floor that overlooked the 4th floor pool deck. The room had lots of space and a seating area, which we liked. We slept well and have always appreciated Westin's Heavenly Bed. We enjoyed the rooftop pool area both day we were there. The pool deck is large, but the pool itself isn't terribly big, but nice for an afternoon dip. They also served drinks and offered food from a make-shift bar set up in one corner of the pool deck. Our only complaint about the pool was that there wasn't any shade -- no umbrellas, sails, or overhangs to provide some relief from direct sun. I overheard several people comment about that issue. With all the space they have available, I think there would be great opportunity for Westin to improve the make shift bar and add some much needed shade. We had morning coffee at V's Coffee -- Nice little corner of the bar serving coffee and refreshments. Our coffee drinks were reasonable priced and tasted good. The hotel only had one barista taking the orders and making the drinks -- and a long line of customers having to wait to order. They really need two people on busy morning and could improve the service from that aspect, but other than that, the drinks were good. BTW, there is a Starbucks directly across the street from the hotel if you're looking for another morning option. We did not dine at the restaurant on this visit, although the menu looked reasonable. Overall, this hotel was a good choice for us.

We picked this place up last minute and it was pretty good. Downtown location just a few blocks from Union Station along the 16th Street Mall. The hotel has a nice rooftop pool (albeit it's on like the 4th floor) which had bar service and chairs. We got a quick check-in, nice room upgrade with Mountain view and the room was large. The hotel is large, but felt quiet enough despite a few conferences going on. There is a destination fee that includes money spent at the restaurant, beer tasting, day passes to a local gym, etc. We weren't there long enough to take that all in. Overall it was comfortable although the bed pillows weren't great. It was a great location as we were taking a Union Station shuttle to Red Rocks for a concert and the hotel is maybe a ten minute walk. Not a whole lot going on down around the hotel during the weekends though, felt a little quiet and subdued. I have Gold elite status and was only give an additional hour for late check out. Which was fine, but that's just the nature of Bonvoy status these days more than anything. Front desk staff was courteous and professional.
