What a pleasant surprise for a Hampton. We have been on the road for approximately 8 days staying in a variety of cities and choosing Hampton Inns for most of our stays. The inconsistency between hotels is incredible. Most have poor mattresses which makes the one thing you go to a hotel to do…sleep nearly impossible. This hotel is the exception. The mattress was comfortable, the hotel was clean and well maintained. My only complaint would be the breakfast. The items were of poor quality and there was hardly any options.

Spent a night here to explore Eufaula’s beautiful downtown and Victorian-era homes on my way home to Florida. The Hampton Inn is on the southern outskirts of Eufaula, next to a Walmart. The other hotels in town are mostly pretty sketchy, although they are close to the downtown and historic district. This Hampton Inn was a nice choice, I appreciate the Digital Key which makes check-in non-existent. The public areas and the room itself had been renovated quite recently. While the room was clean, it smelled a little off, like it had been mopped or cleaned with a dirty cloth. The rooms are under lit, apart from the two bedside lamps, there is a very tiny desk lamp which doesn’t help much. There is a USB-A outlet or two in the desk lamp, however there are none of the newer USB-C outlets. This is by far your best option in Eufaula, if you don’t mind driving a couple miles into the town. The next place heading south if you want to stay in a bigger town with more lodging and food options is Dothan AL, about 45 minutes. As I pass thru Eufaula frequently, I’m sure I will stay at this Hampton Inn again.

Several of us stayed here for approximately 4 days while we worked to help one of our customers open a new location in town. When I arrived, the property seemed clean. Check in was quick and uneventful. The room was in good condition overall. It appeared to be recently remodeled and seemed like it didn’t have much furniture in it, and the lighting was poor. The TV was in an odd location. This was another in a long string of hotels that had one thermostat on the wall and one on the unit, and the thermostat was the main reason for my lower rating of this location. The digital thermostat would not allow the temperature to be set higher than 75 degrees. It was cold outside at the time and the heat took a long time to get to 75, with a lot of stopping and starting when it should have just continued to run. I want to make it clear that I’m not going to stay in a hotel that dictates how hot or cold I can keep my room. Hampton Inn is well known for trying to throttle their HVAC units. I was so cold in this hotel that I went to the Walmart next door and bought a small space heater and ran it on high. So much for your misguided effort to save money. The second issue is that they are using excessive amounts of water softener, which makes your hair feel like it still had shampoo in it. I would consider staying here if these issues are rectified. Otherwise, you have been warned.

“Really Clean.....but the breakfast, I don't know....”

Nice, new and very clean property the bed was REALLY comfortable........ only downside was the "hot breakfast" ...one choice of meat, microwavable omelette, burnt potatoes, probably not so good an idea. the non hot items were ok. coffee could've been better.
