I have visited this area many times and on this occasion was not staying with relatives, as I usually do. I picked out AB simply because it was reasonable and close to people I was expecting to see. There are tons of hotels a condo buildings on this strip and they provide lodgings at all kinds of prices. What I found at AB was an establishment which perhaps was past its prime (like 60s vintage), but with a functioning pool, coffee ready in the lobby, providing breakfasts (I didn't try these), very close to the excellent Angelina's Diner (you can walk to this place), and close to all amenities around town. I had repeated good vibes from the desk personnel and owner here. They let me extend my stay on short notice, gave me a good room (try to get room 101 or 201, looking at the beach--I'll put photos), and replaced my plastic card with no extra charge when I lost it (not for the first time). Thank you people. For a simple stay on the beach (and I hope you'll go walking on it), AB is good. Enjoy!

I booked this room last minute after TripAdvisor messed up my reservation at a place in Daytona. I was really in a pinch. I was running very late due to the messed up reservation. I was in town for a race at the speedway and didn't want to miss the start. They said I could check in early and the lady at the desk sent someone up to get my room ready ASAP. She also suggested a close place to grab lunch and a beer while I waited. I figure eat better food for less than at the track. I got into the room and it was nicely fresh and redone. The shower was really nice and the bed was comfortable. I had an ocenfront room and there were large windows facing south and east. The view was really nice. There are also chairs and little tables on the walkway overlooking the pool (which looked really nice, likely redone after Matthew) and the beach...and yeah, the parking lot. The place is almost done being renovated. The hotel's name wasn't even on the front of the building yet, so it's easy to miss. I missed my race start by about 40 minutes, but without their hustle it would have been by like 2 hours. I really appreciated the effort. I live only an hour or so north and like to get down for a quick getaway weekend. I typically stay in Daytona but I think I'll give Arya Blu a try when I can spend more time there....have a beer by the pool....read my book and watch the ocean. Added some pics. The room pic isn't that good as it was from my phone and I was in a big hurry to get to my race.
