Ok, this review may not be for everyone, but I am going to do it anyway. Location : FANTASTIC. Ice cream shop right across the street, nearby to stores, restaurants, and all Daytona Beach has to offer. Sits a little bit further down the beach in the quieter side, it was a beautiful area. You can hear/see the waves from your patio & can have coffee looking at the ocean and then walk down the steps to put your toes in the sand! Atmosphere, and here is where if this doesn't sound like something you would understand, then just move along. Ok.....so this is where someone like myself, that doesn't have a lot of money goes to stay and vacations in Daytona Beach lol. Where my dad would have taken me as a kid, and we're gonna swim & have a good time, just don't walk barefoot on the floors. This place is where *ahem, I say this with all kindness*..trailer park royalty, such as myself, would go to stay. No frills, do NOT expect house keeping, ice machine or anything of the sort, cause honey it ain't happening. Place & Room: This is a very old place. You can see they do try and maintain, but like all older places on the beach, the salt has taken it's toll. Rooms are VERY old, (think loose tile, rust, paint coming off, furniture is from the 90s, mini fridge didn't work (we grabbed an igloo from wally-world with ice. The sliding glass door you had to get into a WWE wrestling match with to get the door to slide open, y'all get the picture. Door situation isn't the best, but it did have a little turn lock. When we sat on one of the beds, the mattress was broken and went to the floor LOL. Now, on to the positives! It was CLEAN. I will say that, at least our room was. I didn't see any bugs, we had a lizard in the room with us, his name was Chong for the duration of our trip, he was a chill guy. The sheets we stained & older, but clean. The AC in our room would freeze you out, workhorse that didn't quit. Shower was semi warm, but it was clean. They provided the basic toiletries. I was told on check in there was a free grab and go breakfast, lots of carbs, yummy. The pool & area was nice & clean. Chairs to lay out on were comfortable, couple tables to sit at (bring your own camp/beach chair. Beach was just a couple steps down, & they had a shower to wash off the sand as you came in. We got a bottom floor room, which was fantastic as we could park right across from our room & it made unloading so much easier. We got room 112 and were close to the pool and could watch the waves from our patio. Speaking of patio's, it was nice. Bring your own chairs, the one that was provided, I didn't feel like falling in front of everyone. I was very surprised at how quiet it was, there were alot of families with small kids, and everything quieted down around 9-10ish. Even with the door situation, we felt pretty safe. But, you could go swim in the pool at night, I don't know if it was allowed, but no one seemed to mind, kids were just being kids! It was a very relaxed vibe, guy who checked us in was cool. Overall, if you want a no frills proper Daytona Beach vacation & your pretty self sufficient, a pool & beach access and some chill vibes at a good price point, come here. If your used to an ice machine, paint on the walls & a cart to help you get your luggage up, DO NOT come here, plain & simple. Don't think the elevator worked anyways, so if you got alot of stuff, get ready to work for it. Overall, for our broke girls weekend, we had fun. I would come back, just be prepared for what you get!
