I stayed here this time for a week before a cruise, and even though most of my business during the week was on the other side of the city, I preferred to stay here. I have stayed at this hotel several times and always find it to be clean, well maintained and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are very large, well appointed, brand new really because the hotel was completely renovated a few months ago. The location is excellent, with dozens of restaurants, shops banks Etc within easy walking distance and it's a very pleasant, safe area.

My recent stay at the Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise & Convention Center during a week-long conference was a mix of excellent service and a few areas that could use improvement. First, I want to recognize the standout service I received during check-in. I had a stressful situation where I realized my wallet was missing, and one of the front desk team members went above and beyond to assist me. Despite the circumstances, she remained calm, professional, and incredibly helpful—allowing me to check in using alternative identification and even arranging transportation to help me retrieve my belongings. That level of care and problem-solving truly made a difference, and I’m very grateful for her support. That said, I did experience some inconsistency at the front desk. On Wednesday night, there was a noticeable lack of professionalism. While the lobby was quiet, the front desk clerk appeared focused on her phone rather than being attentive to the guest area. Even during slower moments, maintaining a professional presence at the front desk is important, as it sets the tone for the overall guest experience. Breakfast was also hit or miss. I appreciated the daily variety, but the quality wasn’t always consistent. On some mornings, items like the French toast sticks and home fries were quite hard, and the eggs varied between being overcooked or too runny. On a positive note, the coffee was consistently good and something I looked forward to each morning. On a brighter note, The Placery at Hyatt was a great experience. The food and atmosphere were enjoyable, and the espresso martini was especially well done—definitely a highlight after long conference days. Overall, the hotel was comfortable, and many of the staff members were welcoming and helpful. With more consistency in front desk professionalism and breakfast quality, this location has the potential to provide an even stronger guest experience.

Stayed one night before a cruise and it was good. We arrived about 5pm and it was an easy check in but you could tell it was crowded. The lobby area is small and can fill up quickly. Stayed one night before a cruise and it was good. We arrived about 5pm and it was an easy check in but you could tell it was crowded. The lobby area is small and can fill up quickly. The rooms are nice the one we had was newly remodeled. We did need some sheets for the pull out bed and they were very fast with getting the sheets. We did not attempt breakfast since it was crowded but it was spring break and cruises were leaving that day. We slept well and went to the cruise the next morning.
