“Watch out for maintenance”

We really liked the Hyatt Place. The shuttle was frequent and n time. The rooms werre spacious and clean. Most of the staff was friendlt and courteous with the exception of one guy (I think he was maintenance, bald black shirt with name tag) threw us out of the aundry room while we were doing laundry stating "Leave this room free for guests"n like we were squatters or something. VERY RUDE!

We stayed in 2 rooms prior to our cruise and enjoyed the hotel and location. However once we got to the ship my son-in-law realized he had left his phone charger in the room. He immediately called the hotel and after talking to several people, was told the charger was found and would be waiting at the front desk for him when we got off the cruise. After disembarking, we went to the hotel on our way to the airport only to be told by a woman at the front desk that the charger was not there. She then dismissed us very rudely and would not try to help locate it. After reading other reviews it seems there have been several complaints about her attitude toward guests. Another employee took our phone number and said he would have someone in management call us and have it mailed to us. After several weeks of no contact, we called the hotel again only to be told we should have gone on the hotel’s website and filed a lost item claim. No one had mentioned that before. I realize it’s not the hotels fault that my SIL left his charger, but when we were told, “it’s in my hand and will be at the front desk waiting for you”, and then to be ignored and dismissed when you tried to retrieve it, that’s bad customer service.

the HYATT PLACE in 1851 SE 10th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, United States (Dania Beach) staff are WORST - they need to re evaluate the staffs most esp the Indonesian at the cashier really rude, doesn't know the word friendliness to your guests she's so aggressive & not helpful same as the other we check in right on time 3pm - they said the room is not ready yet & will just call us - so we waited at the chair in front of the cashier (me , my husband & 4 kids) we waited 45mins & when I asked her (indosian girl) if the room is available now she said its avail and I told her why nobody call us to let us know that our room is available -- her response if you want I can cancel your booking -- What is that I didn't argue as Im with my family I don't want my husband to hear her say that - Its our cruise moment . but told myself I'm never ever come back to this place -- Do something about your customer service with this Hyatt location - 1851 SE 10th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, United States(Dania Beach)
