This hotel was a great choice! In fact, we stayed here twice in a week and can confirm that both experiences were terrific. It's in a great location for easy, quick access to Sanibel and Captiva islands. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly — Yvonne checked us in both times and was a joy. Other desk team members were welcoming, smiling, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were both spotless with comfortable beds. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

“Mid (at best) experience”

I'm a frequent traveller (almost weekly and almost all Marriott). The good - friendly front desk staff, heated pool, nice firepit area, beds were fine, breakfast was okay. The not so great - our room was supposed to be serviced every other day (it's a full kitchen) and we had to beg after four days to even get the garbage taken,and it was half hearted at best.. ... Parking is not free despite it being a huge lot with no reason to charge. The rooms were beat up and not well cleaned to begin with..heavy dust on services, unvacuumed corners, etc. There were rats running around the outside of the building (it's on a preserve, so I get it, but wouldn't recommend using the grill...) , although we didn't see them inside. They allowed people to bring their pets into the highly crowded, INSIDE breakfast area (said dogs were jumping on other guests). The hotel provides no beach shuttles and nothing is walkable except a grocery store - be prepared to drive or rideshare to any beach or activity.

First room was VERY smoky. Not sure how they let that pass inspection. Fortunately, was able to get a new room. The room was in good shape, but had no hair dryer and too few towels. First room was VERY smoky. Not sure how they let that pass inspection. Fortunately, was able to get a new room. The room was in good shape, but had no hair dryer and too few towels. No one at the desk the first time I went down to ask for more towels (since they weren't answering the phone). Thin doors, so hallway noise is very noticeable. Pool music started thumping before 8 am, which is annoying if your room faces the pool. The AC is horrendously loud. Breakfast wasn't great. Charged us for parking even though we didn't have a car (was never asked), but we were able to get the charge taken off. Decent option in the area, but average. 3.5 stars.
