Nice clean rooms and walking distance to beautiful beach. Pool is clean and plenty of space to sit and friendly pool stuff JJ. Every stuff are very helpful and friendly.

Great hotel location in south beach the staff are very accommodating and helpful, We enjoyed the sushi restaurant onsite and had great breakfast at their cafe’s A really special shoutout to JJ at the pool bar who was really friendly we had a great time with him.

Small hotel but perfectly formed, (I own a small hotel in Scotland) the bedrooms are unbeatable, except a ridiculous coffee policy, part of their policy on a $ 45 per room per night (and I had 2 rooms for 3 nights total $270 extra on top of the expensive rooms prices which includes beach beds) includes coffee in the room, they don’t explain before your stay that your only entitled to a minimum amount (embarrassingly) only 4 coffees, I had 1 coffee and used 3 small sticks of creamers and and sugars so there are only 1 creamer and 1 sugar left, these were not replaced (unbelievably embarrassing) my daughter opened the fridge which was overfilled and a bottle of beer fell out and broke but we got charged for it. I went to the beach for a while but you have to queue to be booked in for your private beach bed, there were 2 men there, one was booking in and selling drinks etc to the public and the other was doing nothing while I was there, there was 8 people there and I had to wait 30 minutes then gave up, it’s an unbelievable joke that you can’t just go to a bed on your pre paid private beach and the staff don’t come to you!! It totally ruined our holiday…

Some positives, but overall, staying here was disappointing. The positives are that the hotel was clean, the pool area was nice, the location was good, and the reception staff were absolutely wonderful - particularly Alicia, Sarah and another lady whose name we can't remember. They were all so helpful, professional and friendly. The downsides were that, despite there being a concierge desk, there was never anyone there to assist guests, for the duration of our stay. Also, we don't like Japanese food, and the emphasis seemed to be completely on the Japanese restaurant. Often there were 2 or 3 people dealing with the Japanese meals, and only ever one member of staff at the reception desk, where there was often a queue for assistance. There were no bar snacks and we had to go elsewhere for evening meals, which wasn't convenient. The hotel recommends The Orange Blossom to visitors for meals, but it is a block away (not convenient at night), and closes quite early. The Plymouth Hotel bar was closed by 10pm every night of our stay, despite their notice board stating that it opens until 11pm. We were absolutely appalled at the hotel's policy of only providing 2 complimentary coffee pods PER STAY. How mean is this? We have never encountered a hotel this mean. Finally, our bill included the usual local charges/fees that we encountered everywhere whilst travelling around Florida. However, The Plymouth Hotel was the only hotel that also charged an additional service fee of $45 dollars per night. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone for the reasons I have just stated, and we would not return.
