This was our second stay at the Contemporary, but our first in the tower and since the remodel. The Incredible theme and details are something amazing. Even inside the closet and drawers you will see nice little throwbacks to the movies. The room is spacious for a Disney resort and very comfortable on the temperature. The bathroom and shower is roomy with a separate toilet area. There is plenty of storage so that you do not have to live out of a suitcase. All of the cast members are attentive, friendly, and amazing! I had been concerned about noise level after a few reviews, but honestly we did not experience any issues with noise even with being just one floor up from the 4th floor activity. Only a few times did we hear noise from Chef Mickeys during the day. I did take a noise machine for at night so that might have helped. The only issue we encountered was the elevators. Not only are you competing with other people staying at the resort, but you are also competing with all those resort hoping or trying to get to the fourth floor. It could be a nightmare at times. Especially with rude people cutting others off or overcrowding the elevators. It would be nice if the resort could dedicate an elevator or two for only those staying at the resort.

“concierge are not what they should be”

i purchased two club level rooms one park view one lake view,supposed private concierge.not true,they show you ice cream in lounge they hide it at night along with the beer.very cheeeezy of them.they do charge you for it.i asked for help at concierge podium on 12th floor,was told by Ella.have spmeone in my party do it.i thought i paid you to?asked for king room almost a tear in advance,when taking my money was told all set.have it in email. get to resort two queens .only requests i had .some magic huh.the magic is how they turn $3.50 case of water into $250 so magical.the food in lounge was very good at times other times not.there are 50 rooms on 12th floor they allow 5 per room yet put food out for about 50.they say if you want something ask...dont waste your breath motel 6 on steroids.rooms were clean ill say that security around the place is a bit rude to deal with some had cocky attitudes for no reason when being checked to enter monorail or the magic kingdom.if you hate your job find one you like.hotel is very close to the entrance. perfect to go in and out threw the week.building shakes when monorail is running.very noisy atrium

We are fans of resort hopping to the three hotels on the Monorail - the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Contemporary Resort and the Polynesian Village Resort. Take a mid-day break from Magic Kingdom and ride the Monorail to the Contemporary. The best part of the Contemporary is watching the Monorail whizz through the large hotel atrium. It is fun having the Monorail pass over our heads while eating lunch at the quick serve Contempo Café or doing a Chef Mickey character buffet. The atrium can be noisy so for a more relaxing lunch, we will drop by Steakhouse 71. Steakhouse 71 is not an upscale steakhouse - it is a casual table service restaurant where park guests of all ages wearing Mickey & Minnie ears and casual park wear are welcomed - this makes it a perfect place for a mid-day break from Magic Kingdom. Recommend reservations at peak meal times. For resort hopping, we would not consider the Contemporary as a must-do destination visit. During the holidays, the Contemporary has a Christmas tree and gingerbread display and fun Disney-themed Easter eggs but its displays are not as impressive as those at the Grand Floridian. After a day at Magic Kingdom, we enjoy watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks show from the Contemporary's observation deck (near the gift shops). Here you'll have a unique view of the fireworks as the Monorail passes by. New to Disney? * You do not need to be a hotel guest or park guest to ride the Monorail, visit a Disney resort or dine at a Disney restaurant. * Free 3 hour resort parking at the Contemporary for guests holding a confirmed restaurant reservation at any of the Contemporary's table service restaurants. No free parking for quick service Contempo Cafe. * Easy Trip to the Contemporary: Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary are on the Monorail loop. Simply exit Magic Kingdom and take a short walk to the Monorail station - take the Resort Monorail that will drop you off at the Contemporary. Make sure you are on the Resort line - do not get on the express line that only stops at the Ticket and Transportation Center (tram to parking lot). Ask Cast Members for help and directions if needed. It is also a short walk between Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary.
