Wow what a resort. Stayed as a family of 4 in a 3 bed apartment. Was located in block 1 overlooking the basketball and picket ball courts. Apartment was outstanding, plenty of space, great cooking facilities and finished to an exceptional standard. Reception staff were all helpful, shout out in particular to Ross and Morgan who helped us with various requests and a late complementary check out. Location was perfect for universal and disney, around $7 to universal and $9 to disney in an Uber. ITrolly stop outside the resort drive. Pool was great, plenty of sunbeds and lazy river was a great addition. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if we return to Orlando!

This resort was 10/10 The staff at the gate he was so helpful in regards to helping us with the parking . The front desk agent was so friendly. The resort is beautiful it has so much amenities, it’s very clean. , the noise level is great, Now for the Rooms amazing like this is the first resort I fell in love with and actually wants to come back for my Birthday, this trip was for my Boyfriend bday and I Amazed like Villatel Apartments is my favorite. ❤️ worth every penny

We stayed at Villatel for a week in a 4-bedroom condo over Memorial day weekend. We’ve always stayed on property at Disney or Universal, but wanted some more space to spread out. I was pleasantly surprised by the price comparatively, and the extra space was such a treat. Positives: -The water park area was awesome - fun slides (all working), lots of chairs, clean, plentiful lifeguards, sports courts, bar, decent food. We spent 2 days just relaxing onsite and it was great. -Everything was very clean and new - big rooms with king size beds, lots of storage, plenty of space to spread out. -Great location - We used Rideshare to get around and it was really reasonable - they picked up right at the condo and we never had to wait more than 10 minutes for one to get to us. It was about $9 to go to Universal and $25-$30 to Disney area. When I added up the parking and rental costs, Rideshare was by far cheaper. We used Lyft the first half and then moved to Uber as Uber was a better deal and quicker. -Loved having the private pool - water was great temp in the end of May and the chairs were great for sunbathing. -The A/C and hot water worked great for us. I was nice and chilly with the A/C on 74 all week plus the bedrooms had ceiling fans (except the bunk room which our group did not use for sleeping.) -Supplies were plentiful for our group - tons on towels, pillows (soft), kitchen stuff, ice, hangers, paper products, etc. The night stands had USB ports in them for charging electronics but you might want to bring a block for the kitchen. If you have a big group you will need to order more supplies but a Walmart that’s just a couple of miles away delivered food, supplies and even an unexpected needed prescription straight to our door. You’ll have enough supplies for your arrival day though. -Area was very safe and we felt secure - my teenage girls went running in the mornings and walked back and forth from the pool area without any concern. Negatives: -Drinks at the pool area were really expensive. I had a pina colada and ordered 2 virgin pina coladas and the bill was $50. Pina colada was tasty though. -There isn’t much shade at the pool complex. If you are prone to sunburns I would definitely invest in booking a shaded area ahead of time. The cabanas are really expensive and didn’t seem worth it but the covered shaded areas were more reasonable - included 4 seats, a safe, waters, towels and waiter service. Brian took good care of us. -The walls of the condos are very thin especially between floors. If you are staying in the downstairs room you’re going to hear every step and move that is made upstairs. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. -Our condo (4976) was close to the pool area - about a 5-minute walk. The resort as a whole is large though and condos that are further out would have a longer trek. I will attach a picture of the layout with condo numbers as I had trouble finding that info ahead of time. -This is a small issue but I wish there were more hooks and towel holders for wet towels and swimsuits. There also wasn’t a putter area on our back patio like shown in the pictures. I do feel over time as things lose their newness the quality of experience may diminish.

We travel a lot as a family and this was disappointing. I would not stay here again. The biggest shock was almost $40/day to park and we had 2 cars. This amounted to over $500 in unexpected expense that was mentioned nowhere in our booking. And I specifically checked parking to be sure we could have 2 cars, so I know I didn’t overlook this. The location is convenient, as advertised. Our 5 bedroom villa was clean and acceptable with a few drawbacks. The showers did not get hot- the water was warm, but never reached a temperature you’d find at any other hotel or rental. In addition, the kitchen was missing basic utensils like oven mits and spatulas. Even heating frozen pizzas was a challenge so I think cooking would be impossible. But the biggest drawback was the facilities. There is no Top Golf Swing Suite- there appears to be a rundown room that might’ve once had this, but no more. The exercise room is small and had 10-15 children barefoot and in wet swimsuits running wild on all of the equipment. It was a very dangerous situation and I reported it to the desk staff but there is no signage about minimum age or adults being present so they couldn’t do anything. So the exercise facility was 100% unusable. It was basically a dangerous playground. The pool area was very much the same. They do have a few slides but the photos are not reflective of the actual pool. I’m not sure if the photos are doctored or just flattering angles, but what we saw did not match the online photos. Overall, we’ve stayed at much nicer rental homes with theaters and well-run facilities for the same cost (and free parking). Next time we visit, we’ll definitely stay elsewhere.
