The Hilton Garden Inn in Pensacola, Florida, is a newer property located next to a memorial park in what I would describe as the downtown area. It is very walkable to various neighborhoods and several dining options, including a Whataburger and a Starbucks, among others. The location is excellent, in my opinion. Parking is free or $10, and if you’re not a Diamond member, parking may be included depending on your package or purchase. The pool is large and offers more than a typical Hilton Garden Inn swimming experience. The gym is excellent, and the laundry facility has a TV and a QR code to activate the washers and dryers—no coins necessary. It’s located on the first floor next to the gym and swimming pool. The lobby is grand, bright, and open, which is impressive for a Hilton Garden Inn, a brand I'm usually not fond of. There's a nice gift shop where you can purchase wine, milk, sodas, chips, candy, laundry soap, and typical sundry items. Complimentary waters are available at the front desk, and bicycles can be borrowed for free to explore the bike-friendly area; you just need to sign a liability waiver. The lobby also features a bar. As for the rooms, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are outfitted with everything you need. The shower pressure is excellent, making for an amazing shower experience, and they have real old-school bathtubs. If you enjoy taking baths or have a child who prefers more than an inch of water, this is a great feature—something you don’t often see in new properties. I had two queen-size beds, which I only needed one king for, but I found the room spacious and well-suited to my needs. It also had a large TV and keyless entry. I must say, this Hilton Garden Inn experience has changed my perception of the brand. I previously had a not-so-good memory of Hilton Garden Inns, but this stay has definitely altered my opinion. It made my trip to Pensacola much more enjoyable. The staff was very friendly, informative, and knowledgeable.

We arrived early and within an hour they had a bay view room ready for us. Tip: ask for a room that faces the bay on an upper floor. We arrived early and within an hour they had a bay view room ready for us. Tip: ask for a room that faces the bay on an upper floor. We enjoyed the pool and were within walking distance of so many restaurants and sites of interest. They have bikes you can use. The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful. Bonus - we watched 4th of July fireworks from the comfort of our room.
