“Great overnite stay”

The location was not only close to USF but also close to Mid Florida Amphitheater for concerts. The hotel was clean, nice size rooms included breakfast. Staff was friendly and a shout out to Katrina who made check in a breeze! Highly recommended

“Staff makes you feel like you are at home!”

To the Marriott Leadership Team, I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional hospitality my family and I have received at the Marriott Residence Inn USF Medical Center from January 2022 through December 2025. Our son attends school and plays football for the University of South Florida, and from August through December each year, we visited Tampa frequently—often six or more times per season. We also brought friends along on many of those trips and consistently recommended this property because of the people who work there. Over the past four years, the staff has made this hotel feel like our Tampa home away from home. Katrina at the front desk has been a constant bright spot, always welcoming us with genuine warmth every time we arrived or left, no matter how many times a day she saw us. David from housekeeping, originally from Cuba, has been an absolute delight—always kind, always engaging, and clearly proud of the work he does. Rosemary, the night auditor, has greeted us with the same pleasant attitude whether it was 2 a.m. or 3 a.m., which speaks volumes about her professionalism and care. I would also like to recognize former employee Ciara Briggs-Hall. From our very first interaction, we connected instantly, and she made us feel like family. Like Katrina, she never missed an opportunity to greet us with kindness and sincerity. Lastly, I want to acknowledge Deven, the General Manager. It is clear that he leads by example. In hospitality, it is difficult to retain great people unless they feel valued, supported, and respected. The consistency and quality of this team speak directly to his leadership. Every conversation we’ve had with him has reinforced that he cares deeply about both his staff and the Marriott brand. There are many more employees who have contributed to our positive experiences over the years, but the individuals mentioned above truly stood out for their exemplary service. Because of them, I will always choose the Marriott Residence Inn USF Medical Center whenever I am in Tampa. Thank you for fostering a team that embodies what hospitality should be. This property has meant more to us than simply a place to stay—it has been a welcoming, reliable, and comforting part of our lives during our son’s college years.
