Our 5-day stay at this large waterfront property in National Harbor was both pleasant and enjoyable. The hotel is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the National Harbor military statues and the many restaurants and shops in the Marketplace. Our room on the 10th floor offered panoramic views of the waterfront, including the Capital Wheel and the main promenade. It was spacious, well-lit, clean, and featured a very comfortable bed. The only drawback was the bathroom (see attached photo), which was unusually small and narrow. The cramped shower area made it very inconvenient to use, and I even ended up bumping my elbow a few times. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money and is a great choice for both family vacations and business travel.

“Big hotel - small bathroom, poor restaurant service.”

2 night here in July 2026. Business stay. 1 king room - chose the hotel due to the location of my business meetings and because the hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy program. 2 night here in July 2026. Business stay. 1 king room - chose the hotel due to the location of my business meetings and because the hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy program. Positives: -good location. Short drive from DCA. also plenty of restaurants and shops in the National Harbor area. The area def caters to business/conference attendees. -HUGE hotel. Massive atrium and lobby area. -decent area around the hotel for a morning run/walk along the water. Easy run over the bridge over the Potomac. About a 6 mile loop. Well lit and marked. -Room was sized well. Just enough furniture in the room and it didn’t feel over crowded. -good coffee/snack shop in the Atrium. Had plenty of choices for morning snacks, quick meal and/or hot/cold beverages. Negatives: -Check in process is slow. They need a better process for getting guests checked in - especially for a convention hotel. -The bathroom in my guest room was not good. Yes, it had a separate shower/toilet room from the sink/vanity, but the room with the toilet and showed was way too small. Difficult to maneuver yourself to open the bathroom door - had to adjust yourself behind the toilet to open the bathroom door. And while there was a floor mat, the floor was still VERY slippery. You have to be careful getting out of the shower. -Tried to eat lunch in the Old Hickory restaurant. Epic fail. Sat at there bar shortly before 12:00 (weekday). The bar/back gave me a menu, glass of water and a utensil set up. By 12:20, the bartender had never greeted me, nor had he taken any drink or lunch order. I asked the bar/back, and he said the bartender would be over to take my order. i waited another 5 minutes and finally left. Person next to me said he had also been waiting to put his order in. This wasn’t BAD service. It was NO service. Again, for a hotel that caters to business travelers, they need to have a good dining experience for lunch.
