Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alpharetta – Windward Parkway ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Service, Outstanding Leadership, and a Team That Truly Cares — Alpharetta, Georgia I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta, Georgia, and I sincerely hope this review reaches both property leadership and IHG corporate, as the professionalism demonstrated here deserves formal recognition. As a wheelchair-bound U.S. Army veteran, accessibility is not a convenience — it is essential. Unfortunately, the room listed as handicap accessible did not meet ADA standards, as there were no handicap rails in the bathroom. Because of this, I had to leave my room multiple times during the night to use the lobby restroom instead. This is an issue that ownership and corporate should review carefully to ensure full accessibility compliance for future guests. However — and this is why this remains a five-star review — the response from management and staff was exceptional. General Manager Samuel Opoku-Djan demonstrated true leadership and accountability. He personally called me multiple times, listened respectfully, treated me with dignity, and took immediate action. He committed to reviewing the room’s design for ADA compliance and handled the matter appropriately. Most importantly, he refunded our stay in full — not offering points or a temporary gesture, but doing the right thing. That level of integrity deserves recognition. I would also like to recognize the outstanding front desk team: Kendra Rainford (Front Desk Customer Service Agent) – Professional, polished, and a true example of quality hospitality. Gillian Whitten (Front Desk Customer Service Agent) – Attentive, welcoming, and highly professional throughout our stay. Loretta (Breakfast Attendant) – Warm, friendly, and maintained an exceptionally clean and inviting breakfast area. The hotel itself in Alpharetta, Georgia is beautiful, extremely clean, well-maintained, and clearly operated by a team that takes pride in their work. While the accessibility issue should absolutely be corrected, the way this team handled the situation reflects a culture of accountability, professionalism, and genuine care for guests. IHG corporate leadership should be proud of this property and its team. I would absolutely stay here again and confidently recommend this location to others. Respectfully, Stephen M.
