“Quiet hotel with some issues.”

Typical Hampton Inn hotel. Check-in was friendly and efficient. We are Silver members and were given water after we asked. The cleanliness of our room was lacking. There was a stray hair in the sink and all the surfaces in the room were dirty and sticky. I used a washcloth to wipe everything down and was disappointed to see all the gunk I wiped up. One of the metal clips that hold the bed skirt was damaged and stuck out a few inches right at shin level. We saw it before getting hurt on it, thank goodness. The hotel was quiet and breakfast was fine. We will probably try to find the next nearest hotel next time we travel this way.

“Not like other Hampton Inns”

Not like other Hampton Inns. This was our second stay at this hotel in two months and probably the last. Not like other Hampton Inns. This was our second stay at this hotel in two months and probably the last. Had to ask for toilet paper as there was one partial roll (maybe 1/4 of a roll), yet there was a double roll holder. Parking at night was difficult to find as trucks and trailers of all sizes were taking up 5 or 6 spots each. Dogs of all sizes were all over the hotel in the hallways, elevators, and breakfast area. Front desk personnel seemed more interested in their phones than waiting on customers. No Hilton Honors member acknowledgement; no bottles of water for guests upon checkin or checkout. Just not the service expected at a Hampton Inn. Beware as you are actually charged $60 per day for incidentals and then reimbursed at checkout. When we got to our room and compared the 3 night charge we were just given against what our reservation quote was, we questioned the large difference and then had it explained to us. This should be explained at checkin.

“Quick stopover”

Highway stop on my way to the Atlanta area. Room was clean and met my needs. My phone had died so I wasn't able to use digital checkin. Highway stop on my way to the Atlanta area. Room was clean and met my needs. My phone had died so I wasn't able to use digital checkin. Guest Services wasn't available for the first 5-10 min after my arrival. For a Sunday night at 8 or 8:30, that's understandable as the hotel was not busy and probably minimally staffed. No biggie. What was a big deal was the HVAC which was not super effective and was very loud. At one point in the middle of the night, I woke up thinking we were in the midst of a driving rain/wind storm but in reality, it was just how loud the HVAC was. I would stay again and just hope for a better HVAC experience. Easy access off of I85. I had picked up food in Anderson SC so cannot comment on local eateries.

The hotel was off I 85 yet was quiet with very little traffic in & out. My check in was uneventful. The room was not as clean as I have come to expect with Hampton Inn. There were little pieces of black debri on the floor. I later identified them as pieces of asphalt from the parking area. Obviously sticking to shoes. The trash cans in the public areas were overflowing. The shower door would not close completely & the toilet was very difficult to flush. I did not report these until I checked out. Even then I did not get the feeling that this would be a priority. The pool was cloudy and I only dangled my feet in it but it was slimy. The breakfast was as expected. However, it was not restocked in a timely manner. When I asked for yogurt I was told there would not be any until a delivery the next day. The lady was not friendly. I had the same experience when I reported that the coffee urns were empty. I would stay at his location again if I was in the area, however; I would hope for some improvements in housekeeping and maintenence. Also staff with that smile and helpful attitude that i have encountered at other Hampton Inns.
