Casa de Emdeko #210 The location was perfect, just south of downtown. Far enough out where you didn't feel like everyone was on top of you and not too far where it felt like total isolation. Travel times were easy and there were multiple routes if there happened to be traffic delays. While there is plenty of parking, inside the gate or outside the gate, it's really tight. The spots are small and maneuvering is tricky especially when looking for a spot inside the gate. It fills up fast so if your trying to find a spot inside the gate in the late afternoon; don't bother. Just park outside the gate and walk through the pedestrian access gate. The condo building itself looks very well maintained. The grounds are well kept and the pools and common areas are clean and easily accessible. Loved how many gas grills that were available at he clubhouse, plenty of seating too. The unit supplied two sets of kitchenware, plastic if you wanted to grill and eat in the common area. Or there was ceramic if cooking inside the unit. I thought that was a great touch. We stayed in unit #210. Can't say enough how nice it was. All updated fixtures, cabinets, appliances, and furniture. The TV was a respectable size and the lanai with its furniture was sublime. The shower was perfection. The bedding was of a nice quality, it smelled and felt clean. The bed itself was big enough for the room and moderately comfortable. I like a super soft bed, it was slightly too firm for me to get a perfect score. Things to note: Nothing negative per say, just things to think about. The unit is located in the south building more than half way down of the length of the building. There is no southside parking lot, it's only a very narrow fire lane. Depending on where you're parked. The north parking lot, the back lot, or outside the gate...it can be a very long walk with luggage. I scouted this out before actually parking and found that it was better to drive down the fire lane, offload at the 2nd elevator, and reverse back out and park. From that elevator moving the luggage was just a few doors away. We happened to arrive late in the evening. (warm, slightly muggy, and very little breeze) The unit was locked up secure which isn't an issue but the AC had not been on at all. It wasn't even set to a higher temp in prep for quests. Completely off. Needless to say it was VERY warm and VERY stuffy. Being late at night there wasn't a lot of breeze so it took a while for the AC to get the room to a temp that anyone could comfortably sleep in. I understand that we arrived late and had we been on time with temps and wind being more tolerable earlier in the day, this probably wouldn't have been an issue. One side of lanai has a large hanging mirror on the wall. Not sure how it's attached but there were more than a few times the wind had really taken a hold of it. I thought for sure that thing was going to crash. We ended up pushing a chair with a blanket between it and the mirror to keep it more secure. Last thing I needed was years of more bad luck and to pay for someone else's mirror. By all accounts, this was an excellent location, in a really nice room. We would 100% book this room again without hesitation.
