“Peace and Solitude”
My stay at the Volcano Forest Inn exceeded expectations. It was the perfect setting and quite the adventure driving in the light rain a few hundred yards down a dirt road surrounded by thick trees to finally arrive at this beautiful Inn nestled in the Volcano Forest. “Paradise in the jungle”
Jon was an excellent host. Property is 200 yards from a lightly traveled road so very quiet. The facility is surrounded by tropical forest and is only 1 mile from entrance to volcanoes national park and 25 minutes from Hilo. Room was huge, about 27'x21'. “Make sure you have your entry code in advance.”
The check-in process was a bit confusing. We didn’t receive a code for the entry door lock. After calling the owner, we found out that TripAdvisor had sent the information to my Booking.com mail. The owner was quick to respond and we eventually were able to self check-in. The location was great… more
